Getting thereBy air

Bratislava

Bratislava Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe. Until a few years ago it only handled seasonal char-ters and connecting flights to Prague. Today, however, Bratislava is a dynamic hub for national and international con-nections.

Vienna

Just 30 minutes by car from down-town Bratislava and served by major in-ternational airlines, Vienna Airport at Schwechat is a favorite port of entry that serves the two closest national capitals in Europe.

Poprad

Poprad airport, in northern Slovakia, lies within an hour’s drive of Slovakia’s main mountain and winter sports resorts and increasingly serves as the principal gate-way to the High and Low Tatra regions.

Košice

Served by regular flights from Bratislava, Prague and Vienna, Košice is the east-ernmost international airport in Slovakia and affords convenient access to all cor-ners of Eastern Slovakia.

By the DanubeIn summer, hydrofoils to Bratislava run from Vienna and Budapest.

By rail and road Bratislava, the Slovak capital, is Slovakia’s main rail hub, with direct, frequent train service to and from Vienna, Budapest and Prague. By car or coach, Slovakia is easily reached from neighboring coun-tries by motorway and secondary roads.

Getting aroundSlovakia has an extensive rail and road network. Several comfortable Intercity (IC) trains commute daily between Bratislava, Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad and Košice, and most towns and many villages are on local rail lines. The Slovak motorway system is constantly being expanded, and within a few years the east and west of the country will be well connected by modern four-lane highways. In addition, there are regular domestic flights be-tween Bratislava and Košice.

1. It’s somewhere you’ve never been before

Really − Slovakia is Europe’s best kept se-cret. Though it’s a conveniently located, fast-growing destination, you will still find Slovakia a country that has not be-come overcrowded and commercialized, and one that still prides itself on genuine authenticity and openhearted hospitality.

2. The people are warm and welcoming (and, dare we say it, good-looking)

The Slovaks really do offer visitors time-honored Slavic hospitality. This is not a tourist industry cliché! They may seem shy at first, but once you break the ice, local people of all walks of life readily open their hearts to new friends. They are eager to show off their culture and share their love of their country.

3. The countryside is brimming with unspoiled natural beauty

Slovakia packs a surprising variety of natural wonders in a conveniently com-pact area. The most spectacular scen-ery is found in the High Tatra, Low Tatra, Little Fatra, Pieniny and Slovak Paradise National Parks. But other parts of the country are also stunning. Many pre-fer the uplands of the hilly central re-gion, where rushing rivers wind through lush, forested valleys. The country is also studded with beautiful caves, twelve of which are open to the public. Most are located in the mountainous heartland, and five have been put on the UNESCO list of World Natural Heritage.

4. You can trip over the multitude of outstanding cultural treasures

For a country of its size, Slovakia’s cultur-al patrimony is immense. It includes hun-dreds of castles, palaces, and churches dating back many centuries − more than 300 castles alone! There are picturesque medieval towns galore, plus well pre-served examples of wooden folk archi-tecture − and even a museum devoted to pop icon Andy Warhol. Four unique sites in particular have been placed on the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage: the majestic Spiš Castle and its environs, the medieval towns of Bardejov and Banská Štiavnica, and the village of Vlkolínec, a unique complex of folk-style timber buildings.

5. The food and drink are out of this world

As befits a country in the heart of central Europe, Slovak cuisine reflects a flavor-ful mixture of influences from neighbor-ing Austria, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The Bratislava re-gion is famed for its meat dishes in sa-vory sauces, and hearty potato dishes and small dumplings served with sheep cheese and bacon are favorites from the mountains. Local restaurants, of course, also feature excellent Mediterranean and international cuisine. And don’t forget to sample the superb wines from the Small Carpathian region and eastern Slovakia’s famous Tokai!

Enjoy incentive in Slovakia The aim of an incentive event is to provide an active group experience that enables participants to escape the stress of everyday work, get to know their colleagues better, and build a strong professional team. Conference events focus on an ex-change of knowledge and ideas among a specific professional com-munity and also provide partici-pants with the opportunity to meet new people, network, and encoun-ter a new culture. Our experience has taught us that, given the facil-ities, the ideal size of a group for these kinds of events in Slovakia is about one hundred persons.

Slovakia has all the preconditions to make your incentive event a real success. Thanks to international air-ports with good flight connections and excellent road and railway net-works, the country is easily acces-sible. Top-class hotels and superior restaurants provide quality servic-es. With its wealth of cultural mon-uments, historical cities, national parks and entertainment opportu-nities, Slovakia makes a perfect des-tination for incentive events or con-ference tourism.

dents – and the city went by three names:

Bratislava in Slovak, Pressburg in German,

and Pozsony in Hungarian. There was also

a substantial Jewish population.

Musical traditions were strong here, and

many Old Town palaces bear plaques

noting where Mozart, Liszt, Haydn, Bartók,

Rubinstein and other famed compos-

ers and artists lived or performed. The

nineteenth century composer Johann

Nepomuk Hummel was born here, and

a memorial museum now occupies his

childhood home. Fine classical musical

traditions still live on, and Bratislava today

has an excellent opera and philharmon-

ic hall – but there are plenty of rock, jazz

and folk concerts throughout the year as

well. The city boasts a score of museums

and galleries that range from the Slovak

National Gallery, with its excellent collec-

tion of Gothic art from remote Carpathian

churches, to many specialized collections

focusing on such varied topics as histori-

cal weapons, feudal justice, winemaking,

antique clocks and Jewish history and

culture.

Bratislava has undergone a dramatic

transformation into a lively cosmopolitan

city in recent years. No longer an insignifi-

cant stopover that many people passed

by on their way from Prague to Budapest,

the Slovak capital today is a place to ex-

perience and enjoy! Numerous new

gourmet restaurants serving Slovak and

international specialties have appeared,

some of them located in painstakingly

restored Baroque palaces and medieval

houses. The hotels have seen real prog-

ress, too; older hotels have been fully re-

furbished and now compete with newly

opened accommodation venues. There

is also much to do in the area outside of

Bratislava. You can choose from numer-

ous activities, some of which we present

on the following pages.

BratislavaWith its wealth of cultural attrac-

tions and gourmet restaurants,

and given its good flight con-

nections and hotel facilities, the

Slovak capital is the perfect city

to host a meeting or incentive

event. Overshadowed for decades

by nearby Prague and Vienna,

Bratislava has truly come alive

in recent years. Its jewel-like Old

Town is a charming and beautiful-

ly restored complex of narrow cob-

bled streets, spacious squares and

pastel-colored Baroque palaces.

Located at the point where the Carpathians

meet the Danube and dominated by a

looming hilltop castle, Bratislava has a

long and tumultuous history. For cen-

turies it was the capital of Hungary, and

many of the Old Town’s most splendid

palaces were the residences of Hungarian

noble families. Between 1563 and 1830,

eleven Hungarian kings and eight royal

consorts were crowned in the Old Town’s

St. Martin’s Cathedral. The city boasted a

typically cosmopolitan Central European

mix of cultures, too. German, Hungarian

and Slovak were all spoken by local resi-

Main selling points1. Bratislava's historyIn more than 2,000 years of history, Bratislava came under Celtic, Roman, Germanic and Slavic rule, and for more than two centuries it was Hungary’s royal capital and coronation site. All these influences – and more – have left their mark on the modern Slovak capi-tal. Communist rule also changed the face of the city, and today Baroque ar-chitecture rubs elbows with the some-times jarring relics of the post-World War II Communist era.

2. Gastronomy The local gastronomic tradition is a cos-mopolitan blend of Slovak, Hungarian, Moravian and Viennese cuisines, and Slovak wines can be excellent. The Old Town boasts a growing number of top-quality restaurants serving inter-national and local cuisine. In the sum-mer, cafés, bars and restaurants spill out into the streets and squares.

3. It’s a compact and friendly city Bratislava’s Old Town is extraordinari-ly “user friendly”. Its Central European charm, lively but laid-back atmo-sphere, compact size and dozens of outdoor cafés and restaurants make it an ideal destination for weekend get-aways.

4. City of incentive tourism Bratislava can be easily accessed via two international airports, frequent IC train connections, and the motorway. Numerous top-class hotels, gourmet restaurants and other quality suppliers guarantee the success of an incentive event organized here.

Day 1Arrival at Bratislava/Vienna International Airport and transfer to the hotel by pri-vate coach. Welcome dinner at the hotel and evening program.

Day 2 In the morning explore Bratislava's historic Old Town during a fascinat-ing Royal Bratislava walking tour. The route includes the Gothic St. Martin’s Cathedral and the Primate’s Palace, the neo-Classical residence of the Archbishop of Esztergom. Relax in the quaint Main Square, with its craft mar-

ket and enticing cafés. In the after-noon, have fun rafting in the artificial channel at Čuňovo and unwind at the Danubiana, a scenic site with an exhi-bition of modern art. Later, enjoy an evening extravaganza with a Danube cruise, including dinner and live musical entertainment.

Day 3 After breakfast leave the hotel for an excursion along the Small Carpathian Wine Trail, which includes a visit to the famous Modra pottery factory and the Renaissance Červený Kameň Castle,

one of the most highly fortified cas-tles in the Carpathians. Enjoy lunch at a typical regional restaurant and sam-ple some of the best vintages from Small Carpathian wine cellars. Return to Bratislava and enjoy leisure time to relax. The Gala dinner that night will be the social highlight of the stay in Bratislava.

Day 4 In the morning transfer to Bratislava/Vienna International Airport for a homebound flight.

Half-dayRoyal BratislavaBratislava is the ancient coronation town of the historic Hungarian Kingdom, where between 1563 and 1830 eleven kings and eight royal wives were crowned. The Royal Bratislava walking tour, designed to place the city's history in its European con-text, follows the traditional route of the coronation procession, visiting Gothic St. Martin's Cathedral and other Habsburg heritage sites. The highlight will be the neo-Classical Primate’s Palace, where in 1805 the Pressburg Peace treaty be-tween France and Austria was signed – the Palace is famous for its collection of English tapestries.

Communist Bratislava The Communist regime collapsed in 1989, but it left a distinctive and linger-ing stamp on the face of the city. The tour will be an eye-opening and educa-tional lesson for those who did not ex-perience life under this political system. Visits to the Soviet military cemetery and memorial on Slavín Hill and to Petržalka, one of the largest Communist housing estates in Europe, will provide an un-forgettable encounter with East-Central European Communist heritage.

Jewish Bratislava Ancient Pressburg was for centuries one of the most prominent centers of Jewish learning in Europe. Join us for a tour that literally descends into the miraculously

preserved underground Chatam Sofer memorial mausoleum and learn about this fascinating chapter of Bratislava his-tory. A visit to the Museum of Jewish Culture will open other windows into this richly textured world.

A Vintage Tram Ride The history of tram transportation in Bratislava dates back to 1895. Embark on the vintage tram near the Carlton Hotel, at the spot from which the tram commuted all the way to Vienna until World War II, and explore the city from a painstakingly restored historic vehicle of the Bratislava Transportation Company. The tour can be combined with an Old Town walking tour.

Devín Castle and Danube CruiseA comfortable passenger ship will bring you to Devín Castle, 12 kilometers up-stream from Bratislava on the Danube River, on the border with Austria. This romantic ruin, long associated with an-cient Slavic traditions, is an important ar-chaeological site with excavations from Roman and medieval times. A source of inspiration for 19th-century Slovak patri-otic leaders, the castle today is a popular day-trip destination affording spectacu-lar views of the Danube landscape.

The Small Carpathian Wine Trail The excursion wends through medita-tive vineyards and charming wine-grow-ing towns spread out along the south-eastern slopes of the Small Carpathians. Visit a pottery factory and learn about the centuries-old production of the fa-

mous Modra ceramics. The highlight will be a visit to Červený Kameň [Red Stone] Castle, a massive Renaissance fortress and until 1945 the residence of the mighty Pálffy Counts. The trip will conclude with a delicious lunch, includ-ing typical local specialties and a wine tasting, in the cozy atmosphere of a lo-cal restaurant.

Full-day Trenčín Castle and Piešťany Spa In 179 AD, a Roman auxiliary legion track-ing a Germanic tribe was caught by win-ter storms and had to encamp far in the unknown territory north of the Danube River. This remarkable event was record-ed in a Latin inscription on the cliff below what eventually became one of the most strategic castles in the region and a resi-dence of the powerful medieval oligarch Matúš Čák. Lunch can be served at the fin-de-siècle Tatra Hotel. Enjoy the after-noon in the world-famous Piešťany Spa, known for its charming Art Nouveau spa houses on its Spa Island. Night tours of Trenčín Castle with a banquet included are also possible.

Chateau Topoľčianky and Nitra Chateau Topoľčianky is an elegant neo-Classical mansion that was used during

the 20th century as a summer residence of Czechoslovakia's presidents. Famed for its rich and varied collections, large garden compound, horse breeding, and excellent vineyard, it is a real treat for visitors. Spend the afternoon in nearby Nitra, an ancient seat of powerful bish-ops that has a sprawling open-air-muse-um of folk architecture with a narrow-gauge vintage railway that operates on the museum compound.

Bojnice CastleCount János Pálffy was an enthusiastic art lover and traveler in the 19th century. After a visit to the chateaux in the Loire Valley in France, he decided to have his residence remodeled to resemble a fairy-tale Gothic fortress. The turreted castle accommodates his vast art collections, which include the famous Bojnice altar by a Florentine master. An excursion to this legendary and romantic castle will fire your imagination and prove a high-light of your visit to Slovakia. Concluding this day with gala dinner or a nighttime tour is also possible.

A Small Carpathian Goose Feast One of the major gastronomic experienc-es in the Bratislava area is a visit to the Small Carpathian Wine Region, famous for its roast goose and excellent wine. Specially selected geese are prepared ac-cording to traditional recipes that have been handed down through genera-tions. The resulting “goose feast” is ac-companied by a tasting of some of the best wines produced by small and inde-pendent local producers. It all provides an unforgettable gastronomic introduc-tion to the best that this fruitful corner of Slovakia has to offer.

Dinner in the Sky One of the world’s most unusual res-taurants is now available in Slovakia! Up to 22 people can dine in a special en-closed platform that is suspended from a crane 50 meters above the ground. The crane can be set up in different loca-tions, affording “sky diners” breath-tak-ing views of the dramatic Danube land-scape, Bratislava Castle, Devín Castle or the broad green meadows of the pristine Slovak countryside.

Private Concerts Enrich your event in Bratislava by add-ing a unique evening at the Opera or the Philharmonic Hall, where we will be hap-py to organize a special concert – only for you. Besides classical music, you can also experience the colorful tradition of folk dance in Slovakia at a lively per-formance by a costumed professional troupe. During the evening, performers will involve your group members in an entertaining dance lesson.

Themed Dinner One of the most popular events we of-fer is a themed dinner. For example, step centuries back into time and, for an eve-ning, experience a real Antique sympo-sion, a festive dinner served in the best tradition of ancient Roman hospital-ity. Medieval, Baroque and many other themes are also available.

Roman Day at CarnuntumTravel back two thousand years to an-cient Roman times during a day chock full of special activities at Carnuntum, an archeological park on the site of a Roman garrison town. The complex includes two amphitheaters, a reconstructed villa and many other attractions, forming an ideal setting for an unforgettable event. So, let your fantasy run wild for a day and be-come an ancient Roman!

A Danube ExtravaganzaA riverboat cruise on the Danube, with dinner and entertainment, is one of the most popular evening programs in Bratislava. Enjoy the illuminated pan-orama of the redeveloped Bratislava em-bankment. After dinner, live music or dis-co will continue deep into the night as the comfortable ship glides along the water.

Bratislava Treasure Hunt The “treasure hunt” theme has by now become a standard product of incentive tourism. What makes it different each time is the different urban setting, with different cultural and historical heritage, in which it takes place. Our treasure hunt is a colorful jig-saw of Celtic, medieval, Habsburg, Napoleonic and Communist themes – and much, much more, all sit-ed amid the picturesque cobbled lanes of the painstakingly restored Old Town of Bratislava.

Petržalka ExtravaganzaThe vast Petržalka housing estate is one of the largest, most anonymous – and most confusing – Communist housing developments in Europe, a real "con-crete jungle". With many of the apart-ment blocks almost indistinguishable from each other, even Bratislavians can get lost. Small groups will be formed, each provided with a map and bus tick-ets. They will receive instructions to fol-low, leading them on a tour through – and hopefully out of – the district.

"Ostalgia"An interactive program will let you ex-perience a taste of the East Bloc atmo-sphere that for decades reigned in this country. Period decorations, historical posters and music will contribute to the staged authenticity of a real Communist experience.

EntertainmentTeam Building

AdventureČuňovo Rafting The Gabčíkovo Dam is one of the larg-est power plants on the Danube River. The Čuňovo rafting area has been es-tablished here in an artificial channel that supplies the old Danube branch. It provides excellent conditions for white water rafting. Later, guests can relax at the Danubiana, an architecturally at-tractive building located on the scenic Danube River embankment.

Slovakia RingThe Slovakia Ring is a modern auto-motive racing circuit opened in the spring of 2010. Almost six kilometers in length, it is one of the longest motor race tracks in Europe. This state-of-the-art facility makes a wonderful attrac-tion for Bratislava-based MICE events. Participants explore the legendary K-1 ATTACK racing car, developed and pro-duced in Slovakia. The highlight of the event is the RACE TAXI, an unforget-table adrenaline adventure in which in-dividual participants zoom around the track as the co-driver in the K-1 ATTACK car – a professional racing driver will be behind the steering wheel.

The High Tatra National Park is the pride

of Slovakia. The mighty granite peaks rise

proudly on the border between Slovakia

and Poland, their faces often covered by a

misty veil of clouds. Deep valleys, formed

by prehistoric glaciers, are alive with al-

pine flora and fauna, and glacial water

has been retained in picturesque moun-

tain lakes. Here towers the highest peak

of the country – Gerlachovský štít, which

rises 2655 meters above sea level. Nearby

Mt. Kriváň is a national symbol. The Tatra

resorts on the southern side of the moun-

tains developed in the second half of the

19th century, when railway connections

reached the area and city dwellers began

to flock here for summer holidays. The

western part of the Tatra Region, called

Liptov, spreads out on either side of the

Váh River and is one of the most beautiful

parts of Slovakia. The village of Vlkolínec,

with its many wonderful wooden build-

ings, is a unique architectural enclave rec-

ognized by UNESCO as a site of World

Cultural Heritage. There are marvelous

caves in the nearby Demänovská Valley –

one of them an ice cave.

The Low Tatra National Park is a won-

derful area for summer hiking and walk-

ing tours. One can reach the heights on

foot or by funicular and then follow clear-

ly marked trails that lead to the region's

highest peaks, Ďumbier and Chopok,

both of which rise to more than 2000

meters above sea level. From here visi-

tors enjoy breathtaking views of the High

and Western Tatra massifs on the other

side of the valley. The main town in the

region, Liptovský Mikuláš, is a centuries-

old city featuring a beautifully recon-

structed town square. The highwayman

Juraj Jánošík – the Slovak counterpart of

Robin Hood – was hanged here in 1713.

A nearby man-made lake, Liptovská Mara,

is a popular summer sports resort. But the

Tatra Region comprises more than majes-

tic nature. The area boasts a whole range

of precious heritage sites and unique at-

tractions, concentrated in two particular

regions: Spiš and Zamagurie.

Arrival at Poprad and transfer to the hotel by private coach. Welcome din-ner at the hotel and evening pro-gram.

Day 2

After breakfast leave the hotel for an excursion to the remote Zamagurie Region. The major attraction here is floating down the Dunajec River on a raft. Afterward, enjoy a barbecue lunch with real Goral goulash accom-panied by live local folk music. In the afternoon stop at the Červený Kláštor [Red Monastery], a precious heritage site. In the evening, a gala dinner at the hotel will be followed by a disco.

Day 3

This day's itinerary will introduce you to the rich art and architectural her-itage of the Spiš Region. Visit the majestic Spiš Castle as well as other precious monuments recognized by UNESCO as sites of World Cultural Heritage. Enjoy lunch in medieval Levoča, famous for the world’s tallest wooden altar, a stunning work cre-ated by the Master Paul. Conclude the day's program with a relaxing dip in the thermal pools and other wellness facilities of the AquaCity re-sort. Dinner tonight will be served at a Koliba – a rustic, mountain-styled restaurant – accompanied with live Gypsy music.

Day 4

In the morning transfer to Poprad for homebound travel.

The Tatra Mountains area is the fast-

est growing tourist region in Slovakia

and is easily accessible by air, rail or

the new motorway along the Váh

River. The region boasts excellent ho-

tels suitable for meetings and incen-

tive groups. These range from elegant,

fin-de-siècle, grand hotels to striking

modern facilities designed by contem-

porary architects. All are beautifully

set amid pristine natural surroundings.

The Tatras provide numerous opportu-

nities for exciting excursions, as well as

year-round adventure, sport and oth-

er activities. Visitors can paraglide, ex-

plore mysterious caves, go rafting, or

hike in mountain valleys. During the

Historic Spiš County, known in Hungarian

as Szepes and in German as Zips, is a trea-

sure house of Slovak art and history. Here

we find medieval churches with exqui-

site Gothic altars and wall paintings. At

the beginning of the 16th century, an

artist known as Master Paul was active in

Levoča. He created a set of unique Gothic

altars, including one in St. James church

that, at 18.60 meters high, is the tallest

in the world. The city of Kežmarok has a

remarkable wooden Lutheran church.

Enormous Spiš Castle, the most famous

tourist attraction in the area, dominates

the landscape from the top of a craggy

hill. Not far from the castle, one can vis-

it Spišská Kapitula [Spiš Canonry], the for-

tified compound of the local bishop. The

Castle, the Canonry, the town of Spišské

Podhradie at the foot of the castle, and

the early Gothic twin-nave church in

nearby Žehra have all been registered by

UNESCO on its roster of World Cultural

Heritage sites.

The beauty of the isolated Zamagurie re-

gion, cut off from other parts of Slovakia

by the Magura Mountains, enchants all

visitors. Here the Dunajec River, flowing

through a deep valley, forms the border

between Poland and Slovakia. The proud

and hospitable Gorals – mountain folk –

live on both sides of the river and speak

a distinctive Slovak-Polish dialect. At one

time, raftsmen floated rafts loaded with

wood from here down the Dunajec and

other rivers until they reached the Baltic

Sea. After each long and difficult journey,

they attached a small seashell to their

hats as a symbol of the completed voy-

age. Today, the hats of the Dunajec rafts-

men are decorated with plastic seashells,

and the only cargo they carry along the

Dunajec is tourists. Nonetheless, the two-

hour, nine-kilometer raft trip through the

Pieniny National Park is a wonderful jour-

ney through breathtaking scenery and

represents one of the main tourist attrac-

tions of the region.

The Spiš Heritage TrailExplore the stunning landscape below mighty Spiš Castle, one of the largest castle compounds in Europe, and dis-cover other medieval monuments in the area. Also visit Levoča, once a prosperous market hub, which has retained much of its original charm.

A Day with Friendly Gorals The excursion leads through one of the most spectacular corners of Europe, Zamagurie. Enjoy floating by raft down the Dunajec River, which meanders through the Pieniny National Park. After a picnic lunch with live local music at the Pieniny Chalet, visit the Červený Kláštor [Red Monastery], home to a mysterious 18th century Monk named Cyprian, who experimented with flying machines and grew healing herbs in the monastery gar-den.

The Lovely Liptov Landscape Slovakia's Liptov region boasts a dreamy landscape surrounded by the majes-tic Tatra Mountains. Enjoy a day amid the green hills and vibrant living tradi-tions of this spectacular region. Visit the Demänovská Freedom Cave, one of the most extensive cave networks in Europe. The afternoon will be spent at the Pribylina open-air-museum: the folk architectural collection here often forms the backdrop for colorful live folkloric performances.

A Ride on the Čierny Hron

Narrow-gauge RailwayThe southern side of the Low Tatras has much to offer to the visitor. The major attraction is a day-trip on a vintage train, originally used to haul timber, which has

been fully restored for tourist purposes. Today, the train brings nature lovers deep into the wild valley of the Black Hron River. The highlight of the vintage train ride is a staged mountain robbers attack adventure!

The Mining Heart of SlovakiaSurrounded by ore-rich mountains, Banská Štiavnica was for centuries the center of one the most important min-ing regions of Europe. The mining in-dustry here declined long ago, but the sleepy little town itself retained much of the unique architectural charm that won it a spot on the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage. Visit former mines and an open-air-museum where you can learn about the rich technical heritage of this region.

Dog Sledging in the TatrasDog-sledging is a traditional type of transportation through the high snow plains. Enjoy riding a dog-powered sledge through the beautiful winter land-scape of the Tatra Mountains. As part of the trip, you will learn how to build a fire on the snow and prepare (and feast on) genuine Highlander goulash.

The Dead Bats Cave A real adventure awaits you in an ex-traordinary cave hidden deep in the Low Tatra mountain massif, where explorers years ago discovered the bodies of hun-dreds of bats. A strenuous hike through splendid scenery leads to the cave open-ing. Then, dressed in special equipment, small groups can explore the cave itself as part of a prearranged tour with a spe-leologist instructor.

Hiking in the TatrasThe Slovak mountains provide excit-ing opportunities for hiking amid the region's majestic scenery. The range of well-marked paths caters to all levels of visitors, from easy walks to physical-ly challenging trails for experienced ath-letes. In some cases hiking routes can be combined with rides on a funicular. Enjoy Slovakia's expert team will map out the most suitable itinerary for your event program.

A Carpathian Adventure This team-building adventure event takes place amid the forested landscape of the Carpathians, a hilly nature reserve spread-ing through Slovakia. Small groups will be formed, each provided with map and compass. They will then be left to find their way to a pre-arranged spot where a bus will be waiting to take them to a big dinner with lots of top-quality wine or beer!

Hiking in the Slovak Paradise With its deep canyons, narrow ravines, and mountain creeks, the Slovak Paradise is different from any other national park in Slovakia. Hiking trails follow its dra-matic natural features, with ladders, chains and narrow foot bridges attached to the living rock. Although physically not an easy excursion, a hike here will be a memorable experience.

Entertainment Themed Dinner In an atmospheric, candle-lit setting, you will enjoy a themed evening with great food and many surprises. A variety of themes, ranging from Gypsy culture, to an ancient Roman or Medieval evening, to “Jánošík and his Robber Companions” are available.

Dinner at a Koliba RestaurantAmong the major attractions of the Tatra region are shepherd-style cottage restau-rants called koliba. Here, amid wooden furnishings and typical folk-style decora-tions, guests enjoy sausages, chicken and chops grilled over an open fire. The vi-brant tunes of live Gypsy music, flaming Tatra tea, and other local specialties, add to an unforgettable dining experience.
