Stainless steel tubes -Dimensions, tolerances andconventional masses per unit length

    *Iw i t h f ,5 mrn min.

1 scopeThis International Standard specifies the diameters, thicknesses, tolerances and conventional massesper unit length of stainless steel tubes.

2 Normative referenceThe following standard contains provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisionsof this International Standard. At the time of publi-cation, the edition indicated was valid. All standardsare subject to revision, and parties to agreementsbased on this International Standard are encour-aged to investigate the possibility of applying themost recent edition of the standard indicated below.Members of IEC and I S 0 maintain registers of cur-rently valid international Standards.I S 0 5252:1991, Steel tubes- olerance systems.

    t

3 DimenslonsThe outside diameters and thicknesses of the tubesspecified in this International Standard have beenselected from I S 0 4200. If thicknesses greater than14,2 mrn are needed, they should be chosen fromIS0 4200.

4 TolerancesThe tolerances permitted on the outside diameterand thickness of the tubes result from the methodof manufacture. the steel types and the heat treat-ment. The tolerances shall be selected from thevalues given in tables 1 and 2.
