Prof.Dr. Bambang Yudi Cahyono teaches Applied Linguistics at State of University of Malang, Indonesia.

Master’s degree was earned from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada (2000).

Ph.D was from University of Melbourne, Australia (2006).

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Studying overseas improves the quality of RSBI/SBI teachers’ professional competence.

The quality of education can be improved by establishing RSBI/SBI.

Curriculum RSBI/SBI & Regular

School

RSBI/SBI uses SNP + Internationally Standardized Curriculum.

Regular Schools only use SNP.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

To examine how the English teachers see the opportunities that they have got to study overseas.

THE METHOD OF THE RESEARCH

The research study involved 22 English Teachers of Pre-Internationally Standardized School as the respondents.

The most of the teachers were emotionally stimulated with the academic opportunity in studying overseas. Studying overseas is considered a good opportunity.
