INTRODUCTION
PARAPSYCHOLOGY :-
Parapsychology is an experimental and quantitative
study of paranormal phenomena, including telepathy,
precognition, clairvoyance, psychokinesis,
reincarnation and near-death experiences. A brief
explanation of each follows.
Telepathy: Transfer of information on thoughts or
feelings between individuals by means other than the
five classical senses.
Clairvoyance: The ability to ascertain information
about objects or events at remote locations without
the use of the normal senses.
Precognition: Perception of information about future
places or events before they occur.
Reincarnation: The rebirth of a soul or other non-
physical aspect of human consciousness in a new
physical body after death.

EXTRA-SENSORY PERCEPTIONS
By reprogramming your subconscious mind, it has
been scientifically proved that you will start to
experience things you never believed possible before!
Extrasensory perception (ESP) involves reception of
information not gained through the recognized
physical senses but sensed with the mind. ESP is also
sometimes casually referred to as a sixth sense, gutinstinct or hunch. The term implies acquisition of
information by means external to the basic limiting
assumptions of science, such as that organisms can
only receive information from the past to the
present.
Parapsychologists generally regard such tests as the
ganzfeld experiment as providing compelling evidence
for the existence of ESP. The scientific community
rejects ESP due to the absence of an evidence base,
the lack of a theory which would explain ESP, and the
lack of experimental techniques which can providereliably positive results.

TELEPATHY
The ability to communicate directly through mind-to-
mind contact and to perceive information directly
from another's mind, without resorting to the use of
the five known senses.
It is often categorized similarly to precognition and
clairvoyance. Various experiments have been used to
test for telepathic abilities. Among the most wellknown are the use of Zener cards and the Ganzfeld
experiment
In more recent times, neuroimaging has allowed
researchers to actually perform early forms of mind
reading.Zener cards:
Zener cards are cards marked with five distinctive
symbols. When using them, one individual is
designated the "sender" and another the "receiver".
The sender must select a random card and visualizethe symbol on it, while the receiver must attempt to
determine that symbol using Psi

Ganzfeld experiment :
When using the Ganzfeld experiment to test for
telepathy, one individual is designated the receiverand is placed inside a controlled environment where
they are deprived of sensory input, and another is
designated the sender and is placed in a separate
location. The receiver is then required to receive
information from the sender. The exact nature of
the information may vary between experiments.
TYPES OF TELEPATHY :
Latent Telepathy : It is described as the transfer
of information, through Psi, with an observable time-
lag between transmission and receipt.
Intuitive Telepathy : It is described as being the
transfer of information, through Psi, about the past,
future or present state of an individual's mind to
another individual.
Superconscious Telepathy: It involves tapping into
the superconscious to access the collective wisdom
of the human species for knowledge.

CLAIRVOYANCE
The ability to ascertain information about people,
objects or events at remote locations without the
use of the normal senses. A person said to have theability of clairvoyance is referred to as a clairvoyant.
It is very different from telepathy in that the
information is said to be gained directly from an
external physical source, rather than beingtransferred from the mind of one individual to
another.
There is also a measured level of belief from
amongst the general public, within a portion of the
US population who believe in clairvoyance.Year Belief
1990 26%
2000 32%
2005 49%

Clairsentience (feeling/touching):
In the field of parapsychology, clairsentience is a
form of extra-sensory perception wherein a personacquires psychic knowledge primarily by feeling.
Generally the term refers to a person who can feel
the vibration of other people. There are many
different degrees of clairsentience ranging from the
perception of diseases of other people to the
thoughts or emotions of other people.
Clairaudience (hearing/listening):
Clairaudience is a form of extra-sensory perception
wherein a person acquires information by paranormal
auditory means. But it may also refer to actual
perception of sounds such as voices, tones, or noises
which are not apparent to other humans or to
recording equipment. For instance, a clairaudient
person might claim to hear the voices or thoughts of
the spirits of persons who are deceased.

Clairalience (smelling):
Also known as clairescence, it is a form of extra-
sensory perception wherein a person accessespsychic knowledge through the physical sense of
smell.
Claircognizance (knowing):
Claircognizance is a form of extra-sensoryperception wherein a person acquires psychic
knowledge primarily by means of intrinsic knowledge.
It is the ability to know something without a physical
explanation why you know it, like the concept of
mediums.
Clairgustance (tasting):
Clairgustance is defined as a form of extra-sensory
perception that allegedly allows one to taste a
substance without putting anything in one's mouth.

KIRLIAN PHOTOGRAPHY
Kirlian photography refers to a form of photogram
made with voltage. If an object on a photographicplate is connected to a source of voltage an image is
produced on the photographic plate. The Kirliantechnique is contact photography, in which the
subject is in direct contact with a film placed upon acharged metal plate.
The kirlian image might be compared with the human
aura. An experiment in evidence of energy fields
generated by living entities involves taking Kirlian
contact photographs of a picked leaf at set periods, its gradual withering corresponding with a decline in
the strength of the aura. In some experiments, if a
section of a leaf was torn away after the first
photograph, a faint image of the missing section
would remain when a second photograph was taken.
In addition to living material, inanimate objects such
as coins will also produce images on the film in a
Kirlian photograph setup.

One of the physical explanations is that the images
produced are those caused by a voltage coronaeffect, similar to those seen from other high voltage
sources such as the Van de Graaff generator or
Tesla coil thus resulting in various colors depending
on the local intensity of the discharge.
Do our bodies emit energy fields which vary
depending on our state of health? Is it possible to
photograph these emissions and to use these photos
as a diagnostic tool? Kirlian photography has raised,
and begun to answer, these two questions and is
being used by psychologists in determining the most
useful course of treatment. With modern Kirlian cameras, a high voltage, low amp
electric field is applied to a glass photographic plate.
When a person places their finger on the plate, the
combination of the electricity and the persons
energy creates a gas ionisation process which, when
photographed, appears as an aura around the finger
broken or unbroken depending on the flow of energy
in the body. The aura of different fingers reveals
information about different organs in the body.

It is good to use the Kirlian photography to see how
accurate the intuition is. For example, if someone isweak in the kidney area, then the Kirlian photography
can be used to verify whether that is actually the
case and then I can concentrate on that area during
the treatment.
"Its also good to then use the Kirlian photography
again afterwards and just check to see how well the
therapy has worked, and get a comparison of before
and after in that area."
WHAT IS INTERACTIVE AURA PHOTOGRAPHY ?
Auraphotography, using the AuraCam 6000 and the
biofeedback hand sensor, measures your energetic
and auric qualities and exposes that on a single
Polaroid photograph.
It shows your aura for your current feelings and
emotions, and does not represent subsequent
changes.
8/3/2019 English Mini Project
14/21
Interactive Auraphotography, on the other hand,
measures and continues to measure this data in realtime. This information is then displayed on a
computer or television screen, allowing us to see
changes in your emotional state live as it happens. As
the video-feed is being shown, the person and their
personal aura colors may come to considerably large
changes and can also show the instability of onesaura, especially if the emotional state of that person
is not in balance. Generally the aura picture change
with every emotional or mental change of the user;
this enables us to see the kinds of effects that
therapy and adjustments of personal vibrations can
have upon ourselves.
Colour Interpretation In Aura Photography:
Colours as well as shapes and colour combinations play
an eminent role in aura interpretation.
The following descriptions of the aura colours cangive you a general insight into interpretation of
auras.

Red: Desire, power, the urge to win, action, love of
sports, struggle, competition, leadership, strength,
courage, passion, eroticism, practicality, desire for
possessions, sense of adventure, the survival instinct.
A majority of young children and teenagers especially
boys, have bright red auras.
Orange: Creativity, the emotions, confidence,
sociability, intuition or gut feeling. The ability to
reach out and extend one's self towards others.Entrepreneurs and people who deal with the public
have orange auras.
Yellow: sunny and enthusiastic, cheerful, bright,
great sense of humor and fun, optimism,
intellectuality, openness to new ideas, happiness.Release of burdens, problems and restrictions. Talent
for organization. Hope and expectation, inspiration.
People with yellow auras encourage and support
others by naturally being themselves; they radiate
like the sun and they also may have a great ability to
analyze complex concepts.

Green: Perseverance, firmness, patience, sense of
responsibility and service, self assertiveness, high
ideals and aspirations, dedication, puts high value on
work and career. Ambitious desire for respectability
and personal attainment, deeply focussed and
adaptable. Green is also the color of growth and of
dedicated parents, social workers, counselors,
psychologists, and other persons focusing on creating
positive change in the world.
Blue: Depth of feeling, devotion, loyalty, trust, desire
to communicate. Puts great importance on personal
relationships. Empathic. May be a dreamer or have
artistic ability. Blue may be emotionally sensitive, intuitive, inwardly focused, may enjoy solitude, non-
competitive activities, be receptive and desire unity,
peace, love and affection in relationships with others.
They need a calm and tranquil environment. You'll
find many blue artists, poets, writers, musicians,
philosophers, serious students, spiritual seekers, andpeople looking for truth, justice and beauty in
everything.

Violet or Purple: Magical, original, often has psychic
abilities, unusual charisma and charm, the uncommonability to make their dreams come true, or manifest
their desires in the material world, wish to charm and
delight others and can easily connect with higher
planes of consciousness. People who have purple auras
appreciate tenderness and kindness in others. Not
especially practical, they tend to prefer to live in adream world of their own creation. You'll find many
"violet or purple" entertainers, movie stars, free
thinkers, visionaries, revolutionaries, and otherwise
singular and magnetic individuals
White: Spiritually motivated, the ability to be open
and receptive to the divine, or spiritual world.
Probably unconcerned with worldly matters or
ambition. Inner illumination, cosmic wisdom
characterise the white energy. Young children,
energy workers, and people who meditate intensely
often will show bright white in their auras. Generally,
white does not often appear in the auras of adults.

PRECOGNITION
Precognition, also called future sight, is a type of
extrasensory perception that would involve the
acquisition or effect of future information that
cannot be deduced from presently available and
normally acquired sense-based information or laws of
physics and/or nature.

PSYCHOKINESIS
The ability to affect objects, events, or people
without using the usual intervention by the muscular
system. Examples of psychokinesis (PK) could include
distorting or moving an object and influencing the
output of a random number generator. It refer to
the direct influence of mind on a physical system
that cannot be entirely accounted for by themediation of any known physical energy (i.e. moving
objects with the mind).
Measurement and observation :
Parapsychology researchers describe two basic typesof measurable and observable psychokinetic effects
in experimental laboratory research and in case
reports occurring outside of the laboratory. Micro-
PK is a very small effect, such as the manipulation of
molecules, atoms, subatomic particles etc., that can
only be observed with scientific equipment. Macro-
PK is a large-scale effect that can be seen with the
unaided eye.

20/21
Scientific View:
If PK were to exist as claimed by some
experimenters, it would violate some well-establishedlaws of physics, including the inverse square law, the
second law of thermodynamics and the conservation
of momentum. Hence scientists have demanded a high
standard of evidence for PK, in line with Marcello
Truzzi's dictum "Extraordinary claims require
extraordinary proof". When apparent PK can beproduced in ordinary waysby trickery, special
effects or by poor experimental designscientists
accept that explanation as more parsimonious than to
accept that the laws of physics should be rewritten.
