C) Read the passage below and answer the questions given below.

The Greedy Boy

Timothy went to school everyday with many other children, but nobody liked him very

much because he was greedy. Sometimes he would say things to try to make the other children

laugh but he didn’t know how to make friends and spent lots of time by himself.

If ever the children had a party, Timothy almost always ate most of the

food and cakes. Once he even put some sandwiches into his pockets when he

thought no one was looking at him. He wanted to eat them all by himself in

the night.

When the children were at play, they did not ask him to play with them because he was not

co-operative and always wanted to do things his way. The teacher often had to explain to

Timothy the importance of living, playing and caring among friends.

One day a boy called Leon started at school in Timothy’s class. At playtime Timothy was playing

with a ball when he told Leon a joke and made him laugh. Timothy was

glad to have someone to talk to and so he decided to share the ball with

Leon and together they played catch. That is how Timothy made his first

friend.
