1. Economics are due to the climate and geography of an area.

a. The South developed plantations and continued to use slavery because of the long growing season and good soil of the South.

b. The Middle Colonies provided food and crafted tools for other regions. “Bread-Basket”

c. The New England Colonies had less area to grow crops but many trees to help with shipping and fishing.
