Every day the kitchen will be used for cooking and we can found that

every kitchen tools are playing their own roles to ensure the meals making

processes are going smooth and give convenience to the people. Among the

kitchen tools, I had chosen a tool that always be the last tool that will be used for

heating a meal before it serve on the table which is the skillet pan. Various types

of skillet pan had been produced which better than old-fashion skillet pan to

satisfy the needs of the human being and to make more profits. However, there

still have almost similar characteristics and main function between the old and

new-fashion skillet pan.

Basically, how does the skillet pan looks like? It is a very general term and

skillets pan may vary greatly in shape but are usually slope or curve outwards

with long handle same as what I observed on my object. For my skillet pan, it has

a very dark colour, black on the handle and the bottom of the skillet pan as black

is good in absorb and radiate of heat among the colours. For the cooking surface

of the skillet pan, it is silver in colour which is very bright.

For texture, smooth and slippery textures of cooking surface that delivers non-

stick performance and scratch-resistance with ceramic coating which is easy to

be cleaned. The handle coats by comfortable heat resistance silicon which has

slightly-rough of texture on it. For the bottom, it has a magnetized induction stove

safe base for rapid heat transfer with the rougher surface.

Skillet pan is strong enough to bear a very high temperature without releasing

harmful toxins and fumes. I found that a high temperature can be easily reached

in few minutes when I heat up the skillet pan as it made by a metal that has high

conductivity of heat. About the weight, mostly of the skillet pans are lighter and

less weight which is less than about 4 pounds so that it easier and lighter to be

handle while cooking. While handling, I can even using three of my fingers to pick

it up easily without using much energy. Nowadays, human had tried to make

lighter skillet pan which is less than 2 pounds which make easier for us to work

on it.

Then, several of sounds that can be produced by the skillet pan are depending

on the metals made on it. Mostly, the sound is very loud and high pitch when I try

to hit on it and it sounds probably like “deng” depend on how much energy I hit.

While trying to hit continuously, the sounds produced make me feel noisy and I

hope to stop as quickly as possible. Besides, skillet pan is odorless while I trying

to smell on it when the skillet pan is clean. After I using it for preparing my meal,

it sticks the smell of the food that I prepared before which is very strong. After

half an hour, the smell is become lighter but it does not produce any bad smell.

Skillet pan has many different ways of cooking like frying, searing, browning and

etc. Normally, the main function of the skillet pan is used to heat up the meal by

fire or heat before you serve to your customers. While the processing of heating

up the meal, you may combine the ingredients that you had prepared for specific

meal with the following sequence to make your food more delicious to eat. You

may also learn some cooking technique that can be used for your preparation of

meal. While cooking, I observe that the cooking surface of the skillet pan is

typically coated with a layer of oil which increases contact between the food and

the pan and increases flavor and colour.

In a nutshell, I have more understanding with my object through the observation

and experiment and every parts of the body have their own specific functions

which make the cooking process smoothly to be done.
