Metric / English Conversions You will be given a set of conversion
factors, common ones are: 1 in. (inch) = 2.54 cm (centimeters) 1 ft (foot) = 0.3048 m (meters) 1 mile = 1.61 km (kilometers) 1 oz (ounce) = 28.35 g (grams) 1 lb (pound) = 454 g (grams) 1 qt (quart) = 0.479 L (liters)
English / Metric Conversions For metric units you may have to convert
with in the metric system if there is no direct conversion factor
Examples: m to miles and miles to m
m → km → miles : miles → km → m oz to kg
oz → g → kg qt to ML
qt → L → ML
Examples NOTE: Example were done on the white board 1) 0.6821 L to qt 2) 3.4 x 107 mm to miles 3) 8.30 mph to m/s
