Commercial Cooling comprises different cooling systems with commercial application. The most common application is the one for the supermarkets and hypermarkets where are installed linear cooling showcases, murals and their corresponding cold rooms.Regarding the cold rooms and the industrial refrigeration, the only difference is the storage volume and so the refrigerating installed power; in fact, there is no real border between one sector and the other.Some of the most common applications are cold rooms for flower shops, fish shops or butcher´s shops. In these cases, there would be also installed showcases or counters.

Commercial Cooling

In the picture below you can see some mounting details and the completed storage room. It can also be seen, in the frontage, the pressure regulating valve. Inside the storage room, you can see the aluminium shelves.

We decide to install a 85mm modular cold room with reinforced floor. Further, we install a three-phase mono block cooling machine.The modular cold room is equipped with duralumin and polypropylene shelves.

Additionally, we supply the PVC curtain, the axe and the alarm (required by law) and a steel access ramp.

>>In this case our client is an Agricultural Technology Institute. They needed a storage warehouse for frozen products. The cold room we installed is equipped with a monoblock machine and shelves and access ramp.

But we solved that problem and actually took advantage of it by installing a cold room with a window showcase, so the client is preserving his flowers chilled and, at the same time, displaying his products. As for example, when he makes a wreath or a

wedding bouquet, he can place them on the displaying side of the cold room as for the new clients to see his work and his product.

>> Our client, a famous and well known florist from Valencia (Spain), asks us for modular walk in chiller. As he didn´t have a back shop, we had to install the cold room inside the shop.

As you can notice in the pictures, the modular cold room is installed directly on the existing floor and it´s equipped with a monoblock machine, so that the installation is quick and easy.

>> This is one of the most common types of project of commercial cold. A storage modular cold room for fruits and vegetables for a small business.

This is an example of a restaurant turn-key project. In this case, the client gives us a plan with his ideas and his needs. Starting from that plan, we make a proposal for a freezing and a chilling cold room, 2 multideck chiller cabinets

and several refrigerators sink counter for the preparation of Sushi.There are also supplied some bottle coolers, a small horizontal blast chiller and a sushi display.

All the machines have semi-hermetic compressors that have been installed on the upper part of the cold rooms with an air extraction system for a proper ventilation.

>> This client owns an exclusive Butcher’s Shop in one of Valencia´s main markets. We installed a complete show cases linear and several cold rooms separating the chicken from the beef and the pork. It was also installed a refrigerated workshop for product manufacturing.

Thanks to refrigeration technologies it is possible to maintain a place or a product at a lower temperature than the the environment temperature. Industrial refrigeration is the group of the different systems that are of industrial application.

The most common application is for the Food Industry where each process must be done at a certain temperature. Other fields with industrial cooling applications would be Pharmaceutical Industry, Plastic Injection, etc.

We build storage rooms, refrigerated warehouses , cold stores, Blast Chillers and Blast Freezers, and other related products.

Industrial Cooling

We decide to install a cabin of 50 m3 with 200 mm isolation sandwich panel. We then installed a refrigeration unit with dual-stage compressor that drops the temperature to -40 º C producing a quick and constant freezing.

>>In this case, our client needs to freeze 1.500-2.000 kgs of filleted fish per day. The fish is prepared and placed on aluminium trays and these are then placed on stainless steel trolleys. The capacity of the blast freezer is of 9 trolleys with 200-250 kgs of product each one. As there is no space inside the factory, the client asks us to make the whole installation on the outside.

In the pictures it is shown a general view of the cold room and its refrigeration equipment, and a detailed view of the electrical box and of the refrigeration machine. As you can see, the electrical-box is equipped with a printer so the client can register of the freezing and thus a product origin tracking.

Fruit and vegetable store300 tn capacity and air-conditioned processing room

In the photos, we can see the multi-compressor refrigeration systems and its condenser, the installation process of one of the rooms and the access door of the finished product room.

The refrigerating machines are based on a multi compressor refrigeration system, with floating condenser with electronically controlled fans and online remote management system.This client is a fruit and vegetable wholesaler who needed to build new industrial premises so he wants to install there a 300 Tn storage capacity,

an air-conditioned orange processing line, an air-conditioned orders preparation room and a 75 Tn finished product room.

>>In this case, we first installed the cold rooms and then the insulation and air-conditioning of the processing room. We used for this project polyurethane sandwich panels, for the cold rooms, 100mm thick panel and for the air-conditioned areas, 80mm thick panel.

We resolve these two projects by building cold storage cabins with 80 and 100 mm thick panel and a sliding door for access with pallets.Both refrigeration units installed have semi-hermetic compressor, the bigger one with a cubic evaporator and the smaller one with a

ceiling evaporator due to the limited height in this case.

>> In this case, our clients are fruit and vegetable producers who decide to install a small storage cold room so that they don´t have to serve all the goods the same day they are picked. We are asked to install medium size cold rooms with 20 and 12 pallets capacity and with a proper temperature to preserve the cabbages and the oranges.

In this case, during the opening hours the refrigerating equipment stays off and when closed, the goods remain in the same position without needing to store them on the warehouse, the access doors are closed and the refrigerating machine turned on and lowers the temperature down to 5ºC.

We build a 80 mm thick isolation cabin saving all obstacles and a small sales lodge made of sandwich panel.

For the access in the stall, we install a 300x300 cm sectional door with 40 mm thick isolation.

The refrigeration unit consists of a distance remote semi-hermetic compressor machine and double-flux coolers for a proper cold distribution inside the stall.

>>This one is a fruit and vegetable wholesaler with his own stall in Valencia wholesales market (MercaValencia ) who asks us to transform his fruit market stall in a cold room.

Fishing industry expansion Incorporation of 2 blast freezers and a storage cold room

For these projects we applied the same solution: 180 mm thick panel isolation and sliding door.For the refrigerating part, we installed a 30 HP double-stage semi-hermetic compressor unit with a cubic evaporator for the 2,5 Tn blast freezers and 60 HP screw compressor with wall cooler for the 5Tn blast freezers.

>> In this case, our clients, both from the fishing industry, ask for 2 blast freezers of different capacity. One of them of 2,5 Tn freezing capacity each 8 hours and the other one, 2 blast freezers of 5Tn freezing capacity each.

For this project we made the insulation with polyurethane sandwich panels: the cold rooms with 100 mm and 120 mm thick panel and the blast freezer with 180 mm gross panel.

All the refrigerating units are independent and they are installed in a special machine room.

We do the insulation with 80 mm thick polyurethane sandwich panels. The refrigerating unit consists of a remote condensing unit and 2ceiling evaporators of low air ventilation to avoid dryness with a thermostat control.

The humidity is controlled by increasing it with an electronically controlled humidifier.

>>In this case, our client wants to store and preserve candies at a monitored temperature and humidity

We do the insulation with polyurethane sandwich panels of different thicknesses depending on the temperature, with sliding refrigeration doors for the cold rooms and

sectionals ones for the loading and downloading docks from the logistics area.

>>In this case, our client, a logistics platform needs an insulation project for its industrial premises including a set of cold rooms for storage and expedition area with its loading docks.

We do the insulation with 100 mm thick polyurethane sandwich panels. The refrigeration unit installed has 3 semi-hermetic compressor already calculated for the future capacity so that when the

extension is made, we only have to connect the new coolers and add refrigerant gas.

>>In this case, our client needed a 500Tn capacity fruit and vegetable warehouse with the possibility of expansion to 1000 Tn capacity.

For this project we made the insulation with polyurethane sandwich panels: the cold rooms with 100 mm and 120 mm thick panel and the air conditioned areas with 80 mm thick panel. The refrigeration units have multi-compressor refrigeration system, a remote condenser with

electronically controlled fans and online remote management system. Some of the evaporators have a special cold room humidity control by an extra set of resistances.

>>This client is a fruit and vegetable wholesaler who wants to build a new storage complex of capacity 1000 Tn, a reception and selection products room, an expedition area with loading dock and 5 cold rooms, some with special humidity requirements

In the photos below we can see the multi-compressor refrigeration system, one of the evaporators with humidity control, the order preparation room and two different angles of the cold room corridor.

We made the insulation with polyurethane sandwich panels: the cold rooms with 100 mm and 120 mm thick panel and the cooling tunnel with120 mm thick panel. The refrigeration units are refrigeration central for the 2 large

volume cold rooms and an independent unit for the cooling tunnel. There are installed manual sectional doors for the loading docks.

>>They wanted am enlargement for this cooperative, so there was necessary to install two loading docks, 2 large volume cold rooms with maturing process capacity and a cooling tunnel able to refrigerate at 1ºC the orange before loading it for international transport.

In this case, our client was a plastic injection company that asked us for the construction of a soundproof box with an important requirement of soundproofing as it was going to be built inside the production area.We propose him the construction of a sandwich panel enclosure of 100 mm thick

We install a 5.000 litres water tank which it is supplied from the network, we input the instruction that the water temperature of the deposit must be 7 ° C for which we install a water cooling machine that takes water from one end of the tank and reinserts it once it is cooled on the opposite end.

We calculate the power needed for the machine given the fact that it will cool the water during the night, so that the water can be used during the working day hours.In the photos you can see the system already installed with the water cooling machine together with the tank.

>>Our client needs water at 7ºC for the fish elaboration process..

Being a food process, the tank is equipped with a man sized opening for the cleaning.

We accepted this project more for curiosity rather than for its utility.In this case, our client a prestigious Italian sculptor Gaetano Pesce informs us of the exhibition named “Water” that he was to to organize at the IVAM (Valencian Institut of

Modern Arts) and he want us to do a project representing ice formation.So we made a triple pipe circuit in constant evaporation, so as the days past, there was more and more ice forming.

>>At the end of the installation, around the pipe had formed some 30 cm diameter ice blocks.

In these photos you can see the sculpture during its first days, when the ice hadn´t been formed totally, as the pictures were taken at the opening.

We covered the walls with insulating sandwich panel and proceeded with a proper air conditioning. On the other hand, we installed a dehumidifying machine in order to reduce as

much as possible the air humidity and prevent condensation.

>> In that cryogenic hospital room they had a lot of condensation problems due to the bad isolation and air conditioning. Due to the difference between the liquid nitrogen temperature and the environment temperature, condensation was forming and water was on the floor and other surfaces.

We decide to use plastic coating to cover the walls of the cold room leaving them looking better than new. This type of coating is more

resistant over time since it doesn´t scratch, dent, nor break in case of shock.

>>In this case, our client wanted to replace some panels that were damaged with use.After checking the correct state of the isolation and that there was not necessary to replace it, we proceed to study different options to repair the damage caused by the product handling by our client in that place.

We decide to use plastic coating to cover the cold room´s walls and ceiling, after this system had received the health technician approval. In all the joints of the walls with the ceiling ,we

install sanitary profile in order to avoid the rubbish accumulation.

>>In this project, our client asked us a solution as economically as possible and at the same time to comply with the State health technician requirements, according to which he would had to dismantle the cold room due to its bad condition.
