By combining automatic control and remote control assisted by computer for distribution network operation, supply reliability and operation/maintenance work e f ficiency are improved.
DAS consists of the remote/automatic switching devices for overhead and underground distribution lines, and the computer system to monitor and control. If a fault in the distribution network occurs, the system detects the faulted section of the distribution network, isolate the faulted section, and recharge the some of the un-faulted parts of the network, all by automatic operation. By remote operation from the control o f fice, the other parts other than the faulted section are energized.
E f fective utilization of distribution network facilities, by monitoring the operation status on-line and controlling remotely Labor saving in field work, by automatic and/or re m ote switching operation Shorter restoration time after power outage, by quick identification of the fault and automatic and/or remote switching operation
