In addition to setting up new plants and building new systems, we predominantly implement retrofit projects, with a focus on replacing and upgrading complete plant control and automation systems. At out headquarters in Flensburg, Germany, we also run up-to-date switchgear manufacturing facilities.

This is the future Bilfinger GreyLogix BiogasThe origin of our activities in the biogas industry dates back to 1998. Our first project was commissioned by a large German plant manufacturer, and involved electrical systems and automation for a project in Amman, Jordan.
Since that day, we have provided electrical equipment for biogas plants in Germany to locations abroad ranging from 0.4 to 3 MW and resulting in a broad range of references. One aspect which has always represented an advantage over the years has been our know-how transfer from our
natural gas business unit. From planning and engineering to after sales service, we support our clients in all project phases with competence and service, regardless of the plant type. Additionally, we use our international experience to develop flexible options that are readily adaptable within a given region. We are experts in implementing applicable national standards and regulations regarding plant safety and we provide software in multiple languages.

Planning & ConsultingNeed an expert opinion? Just contact us. We shall be pleased to answer all of your questions and assist you with competence over the complete project process. Likewise, our consulting services focus on determining the appropriate selection of technical components and providing detailed advice on country-specific statutory regulations, such as, safety measures like the ATEX directives for equipment and workplaces in potentially explosive environments, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) requirements, and emergency stop mechanisms.
EngineeringBased on your specifications we develop automation systems and provide power engineering for your plant. Our electrical engineers create the required circuit diagrams and provide their expert knowledge. They are available for your questions during all project engineering phases. Our software specialists start working in parallel and in close coordination with our electrical engineers so that you can rely on a punctual and efficient delivery.
Coupled with the participation of our clients in the develop-ment phase, processes are customized to suit their individual needs in an optimum manner. Thanks to these initial activities, we can ensure trouble-free test runs during commissioning. All processes are of course carefully documented, covering all phases from design to installation and commissioning. Also, we adapt interface functions from third-party contractors and upon request, ensure trouble-free data exchange between systems via a system bus.
Switchgear Manufacturing Unlike many of our competitors, we do not outsource control cabinet manufacturing. The design diagrams of our electrical engineers do not leave our house and are not passed on to a third-party manufacturer. For several years, we have run our own industrial production facilities for automation cabinets, control cabinets and distribution cabinets where these prod-ucts are designed, manufactured, and tested. From the first quarter of 2014, we are certified to build control cabinets to UL standards.
This way we can ensure excellent quality for our clients without depending on intermediate suppliers, and thus the Bilfinger GreyLogix label means Bilfinger GreyLogix and nothing else. Clients are welcome to attend test and inspection reviews on our premises.

Thanks to our software library, we can offer our clients both a proven and flexible system based on the Siemens SIMATIC S7 and PCS 7 automation products, and providing visualisation via WinCC. Biogas Control is available in German but also in English, Danish, Swedish, and Spanish versions. Other languages can be imported without problems.

Under continuous development, Biogas Control consists of the Biogas Standard core product, to which other modules can be added according to your respective requirements. The es-sential advantage of Biogas Control – a fully knowledgeable Biogas staff – we know the ins and outs of our dependable software so that you have around-the-clock contact with a qualified staff. Moreover, our consequent operating concept is the prerequisite for trouble-free processes – from smooth commissioning to after sales support.
Biogas Control supports web-based remote access via a secure connection, appraisals and analysis of key performance indicators, historical data evaluations via its SQL database and logging of user actions.
If required, a fault message notification system sends alarm details via mobile phone messages so that service personnel are informed immediately. Also, remote control of multiple plants is supported by Biogas Control. Hence, we offer our clients a strong package according to individual needs. Upon our clients’ requests, we are also able to implement other software solutions.

Bilfinger GreyLogix has developed a special quality management system which addresses the particular demands of automation technology and electrical plant engineering. This provides for a framework of technical sequences and internal processes, without limiting the required flexibility. The Bilfinger GreyLogix QM system is certified according to DIN ISO 9001 by Kiwa International Cert GmbH.
According to the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health, Bilfinger GreyLogix takes all required measures regarding explosion protection and ensures safety for electrical equipment in hazardous areas were gas explosions are likely to occur.
With Bilfinger GreyLogix, your future prospects are bright.
