Package units

Package units are a speciality of WestfaliaSeparator Engineering. Who is betterable to integrate centrifuges in proces-ses than the person who designs andbuilds the centrifuges? A package unitis a self-contained package, designedby specialists and built under optimumconditions in our own workshop. Irres-

pective of whether you wish to replaceexisting machines or expand your pro-duction, whether you wish to renew,modify or expand, you will obtain majoradvantages with a package unit.

You continue to produce for as long aspossible with your old machines. You mo-dify or construct the building and, whileyour production is running and makingmoney and while the building contractorsare working in your buildings, WestfaliaSeparator Engineering plans and buildsyour customised new package unit for you.When you have completed your prelimi-

nary work, your new package unit is de-livered and integrated in your productionprocess with a minimum amount of dis-ruption. You can use the new package unitfor production very soon after.Time is money, and downtimes in yourproduction cost unnecessary money. Bymeans of parallel planning and productionof the package unit for your activities, youare able to significantly reduce the time

between the point at which you make theinvestment and the point at which thepackage unit is given over to production.The package unit is installed completelywith all pipework on a frame, is equippedwith all electrical and pneumatic connec-tions, is tested and has gone through ex-tensive test runs. At your request, thepackage unit is accepted and its reliablefunctioning is checked in the presence ofyour inspectors. In this way, you receivethe best possible solution without impo-sing an unnecessary strain on your pro-duction.

Welding engineering

Requirements applicable for weldingengineering have become much more

demanding during the past decade. Therapid development of sterile process en-gineering, particularly in the pharma-ceutical industry, and the more stringentrequirements in the food industry have

been and still are a permanent challengefacing welding engineering and welders.Employees of Westfalia Separator Engi-neering have taken on this challengeand offer you welding technology inthe quality you require now and in thefuture.

The emphasis on the one hand is on theskills of our employees, who of course areall appropriately certified and who carryout welding work in accordance with ADprocedures and DIN and also in accordancewith ASME. We use orbital welding techno-logy for the most demanding work.Westfalia Separator Engineering has severalwelding machines with closed weld guns.The company naturally also has the neces-sary equipment for checking the quality ofthe weld seams. We have our own toolsand equipment for performing visual checkswith an endoscope, also with photographicdocumentation, ferrite content measurement,X-ray testing, dye penetration testing (DPT),magnetic powder indication (MPI). West-

falia Separator has its own materials labora-tory, which means that it can also performdestructive tests.
