10. Student feedback mechanism on Institutional Governance / faculty performance

Each class has got a separate Class Committee comprising of the subject teachers and student

representatives chaired by a senior faculty member. The committee meets three times in a

semester and all academic issues related to various subjects’ teaching learning process are

discussed. The students are free to express their views on the institutional governance and/or

the faculty performance and the remedial measures if necessary are taken immediately.

In addition, the performance of faculty members has been regularly assessed through self-

appraisal and students feedback. Necessary steps are taken to suggest corrective actions to

improve the teaching-learning process. The learned, self-disciplined and committed faculty

members, besides the classroom teaching, encourage an open-door interactive learning

process through regular counseling, informal meetings, discussions, etc., and thus provide

guidance and support services to students in academic matters.

11. Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students

The institute has set up a Grievance Redressal Cell to look into the grievance of the students,

faculty and staff. The Cell consists of five senior members of faculty, which very closely

interacts with all the students, faculty and staff, and thus facilitates effective redressal of

grievances of any kind. As the administration is highly transparent and the communication

flows freely at a faster pace, hardly any grievance is felt on the campus. The details of the
