Mariano (152686) ENG102 15YP2Report on the Interview of 5 Students Regarding the Topic : Buying gifts During the Chrstmas Rush Should be AvoidedThere were five students interviewed regarding the topic concerning the inconvience when buying presents during the annual Chrstmas rush. They were asked a series of questions in order to know their knowledge and opinion about the topic. The five students were aged 16 to 17 years old and were all Freshman students. In the first question, they were asked if they know about Christmas rush and how do they define it. All 5 interviewees were knowledgeable about the Christmas rush and 4 out of the 5 students interviewed had similar answers regarding their definition of Christmas rush. The four students said Christmas rush for them is panic buying when the the Christmas day itself is near. On the other hand, the one remaining students definiton for Christmas rush was different from the rest of the interviewees. The student defined Christmas rush as a feeling you have when you know Christmas is near. Moving on, the second question asked about their experience of a Christmas rush. Only one out of 5 has not experienced the Christmas rush yet. The remaining 4 students were asked to describe their experience of the Christmas rush and the three of them said they experience was unpleasant and a hassle. They said its because there were a lot of people at the mall also shopping for gifts which caused the lines at the cashier to be longer than usual. Also, adding to the inconvinience, after shopping it would usually be traffic when going home and it would take hours for you to get home. The 3 students also said that it was stressful because it was pressuring to pick out presents knowing that Christmas is near. However, out of the 4 students who experienced the Christmas rush in the past years, one student had a different say about his experience. The student mentioned about most of the places in the city started to put up Christmas decor and Christmas rush for him was the time when people start shopping and it was also the time for he and his friends to start planning their activities for the holidays. Lastly, the interviewees were asked if whether or not they will still choose to shop during the Christmas rush or not despite the inconviniences, also given that there are sales going on during the rush. 2 students chose to still shop during the Christmas rush because of the great deals during this period. Also, the two said that they also want to feel that giddy feeling that can only be felt during the Chrstmas rush.Therefore, all the 5 interviewees were knowledgeable about what happens during the Christmas rush. Despite the inconvinience, 2 out of the 5 interviewees still wanted to shop during the Christmas rush despite the inconviniences. But still, 3 out of 5 still chose to not shop again during the Christmas rush if they were given a chance.
