The complete performance is gained when backrest angle is about25 ° from vertical axis.-Adjust safety belts to eliminate any slacks. Do not pull the belt away from the body while running. To operate properly, safetybelts should be worn as tightly as possible.-The lap part of the belt should not go over the abdomen but pelvic bones. The shoulder belt should go over the shoulder andacross the chest without any pressure to the neck.-Remove hard, sharp or fragile objects as keys, pens, glasses and etc. from your clothes. The belt should not be twisted, andthere would be no obstacle in between.-Replace seat belts if they are worn, lost their sensitivity or damaged- Use the seat belts to fix luggage carried on the seats. Throwing loose packages in passengers’ compartmen during an accidentcan cause serious injuries.- In most countries, all passengers are legally obligated to wear safety belts unless be exempted on medical certificate.- Pregnant women should pass the shoulder portion across the shoulder, breast cleavage and from one side of the fetus. Interjecting system The safety belt is activated together withthe airbag only at time of receiving strongblows resulting from front collisions. They are not designed for blows fromthe rear, sides (sideswipes), vehicleoverturning or minor collisions at frontand for this reason they do not becomeactivated. The Interjecting part of the beltmay be activated only once. If this systemis activated once (i.e. when the air bagbecomes active), the Interjecting part ofthe bet should be serviced by anauthorized Iran Khodro representative assoon as possible.
WARNING :
-Servicing and checking the belt’sinterjecting system and ites wiringshould be performed by speciallytrained persons at Iran khodroauthorized representatives. Anytempering and improper repair of thesystem may result in unwanted or faultyactivatiion or its failure. Any of thesemay result in personal injuries.- Only belts fastened as tight aspossible on the passenger’s body willhave the needed effectiveness.Depending on the blow’s nature andseverity, the interjecting system willwork concurrently with the air bags.In case of non-performance in one ofthhe above cases or system defect, thebag’s warning light will come on.
Interjecting & Pressure ControlSystem*In case of a front collision, safety of thefront seats will improve due to the safetybelts equipped with interjecting andpressure restricting systems, anddepending on the blow's severity, the pre-loading traction system will tighten thebets and pull it even more towards thedriver and front passenger seat.1- The pre-loading traction system willbecome activated when the car key isturned on.2- Belt's pressure limiters: this mechanismwill reduce pressure on passenger's chestat time of collision.

FOLDING EXTERIOR MIRROR(ELECTRICAL) *Many of car owners are aware of theadvantages of the folding side mirrorsespecially when the car is parked in apassage. To mention the advantages, onemay point to the increase in safetycoefficient of the mirror when leavingthe car as well as the lower space requiredfor parking the car.Parallel with these and with a view toincreasing the comfort of the driver, theelectrical exterior folding mirrors areautomatic and it can be folded\unfoldedby remote control, no need to manual
control. The manufacturing technologyof these mirrors’ motors (called “foldingmotors”) is designed in such a mannerthat in the event of any impact, the motorwill be locked and current voltage willbe cut off. This mechanism prevents thedamage of the motor as well as thedestruction of the mirror in itself by theapplication of undue force. In addition, when passing through narrowpassages, the driver can fold the mirrorwhile the engine is operating by thelock/unlock switches on the ignition

ANTI-PINCH SAFETY SYSTEM*This is a safety system which preventsthe body parts from getting caught whilethe windscreen switch is on its upwardcourse. In this system if the windscreengets in contact with an obstacle while inits upward course, it comes to a haltimmediately and moves in the reversedirection, thus it will prevent the inflictingof heavy injuries to the infant. Furthermore, the above system will insure the longeruseful life of the windscreen switches.Automatic Window ClosingWhen the vehicle is turned off and itsdoors locked using remote control, thissystem will check the car windows oneby one and raise the windows that are notclosed properly. This security system willtake care of security risks of forgetting toclose all the car windows and will let thedriver leave his car with peace of mind.
INTELLIGENT SIDE WINDOWSThe new intelligent windscreen switchinstalled in your vehicle is endowed withan electronic board providing thefollowing advantages:1- Anti-Pinch safety system2-Automatic closing the windscreenswhile leaving the vehicle3- Automatic shift command of the fourwindscreens4- Slow coming to a halt of thewindscreen at the end of the course
*If equipped
WARNINGDespite the anti pinch safety system, the electrical windscreen switches canonly prevent the inflicting of heavyinjuries caused by the application ofthe undue force. Therefore, it is advisable to respect thenecessary precautions in this regard.
!
CAUTIONAlways make sure all four windowsare automatically closed, before leavingcar's parking place.
!
Automatic Order for Movement of theFour WindowsThis system will provide the option tolower or raise the windows, bothmanually and automatically for eachwindow. In ordinary vehicles only raising of thedriver's window is automatic.-MANUAL MODE:Press the button of the respectivewindscreen and press it consecutively. Assoon as the application of pressure on thebutton ceases, the windscreen will stop.-AUTOMATIC MODE:By pressing the button once, thewindscreen will open or close completely. The new windscreen switches will makeyou able to open or close manually/automatically the four windscreenssimultaneously. In the event the button ispushed once, the windscreen willautomatically go upward or downwardcourse. If the button is pressed consecutively( for a longer time), the windscreen isoperated in the upward or downwarddirection till the pressure exerts on thebutton; in that case the movementcome to a standstill immediately.
42
2
SLOW COMING TO A HALT OFTHE WINDSCREEN AT THE ENDOF THE COURSE*In this system the pace of the windowscreen will automatically reduce at theend of the course till it stops graduallyat the end. In this case, there will be noor less impact on the door. This systemeliminates the unpleasant noise arisingfrom the sudden stoppage of the switchat its final course and increases the usefullife of the internal door parts.(Obviously the anti-pinch system is bothoperated manually and automatically andin the event the windscreen gets in contactwith an obstacle while in its upwardcourse, it comes to a halt immediatelyand moves in the reverse direction).
NOTE:The intelligent windscreen switch isequipped with a sensor which preciselyregisters the windscreen position at anymoment. To distinguish the starting andfinishing points of the windscreenmovement domain, the preliminaryreadjustments of the windscreenelectronic system are made in the factory. If for any reason such the opening of thebattery leads the permanent energizingof the window switch ceases, thepreliminary adjustments are wiped fromthe memory and the new abilities of theintelligent window switch cease to operate.Following the permanent re-energizingof the system, the preliminary readjustmentsand start-up of the windscreen switch haveto be made again.
This includes the following stages andcould be easily done by the owner in thefollowing manner:1- Lower the windscreen to the end ofthe course.2- Raise the windscreen manually to theend of the course (In automatic mode, itwill be deactivated).3- Upon the movement of the windscreento the end of the course, hold the buttonjust for a second.
NOTE:
While adjusting the system, the
anti-pinch system is deactivated.

Foot Brake Servo AssistanceThe braking system is servo assisted. Itis activated only when the engine isrunning. A greater effort is needed tostop the car without using the servosystem, and in this situation the vehiclewill stop in a longer distance. Alwaysconsider the following points:- Never run on neutral gear or with theengine turned off- Always take care when towing the carwith the engine turned off.
If the engine goes off while driving, considering safety precautions bring thecar to a proper place, and avoidunnecessary braking. It finishes theremaining available servo-assistance.
HandbrakeHandbrake locks only the rear wheels.Pull up the lever to use the handbrake. When parking, the handbrake shouldalways be completely pulled up (withoutpressing the button on the lever). Torelease the handbrake, pull the lever upslightly, press the button on the brake, and fully lower the level. The warninglight on the instrument panel turns offwhen the handbrake is completelyreleased. When parking on a steep road facinguphill, use forward gears (i.e. one), anduse reverse gear when facing downhill.
CAUTION- When parking on a steep area movethe wheels towards the sidewalk andpull the handbrake.-While driving, always make sure thatthe handbrake is completely pulled down(Brake Warning Lamp is turned off).Otherwise, the brake pads turn hot.
CAUTIONWhen the P! and STOP iconsare lit, it means that the handbrakehasn ' t been re leased or i sincompletely released. In automaticvehicles, put the gearbox in "N"position.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS)
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)*
Anti-lock braking system is one ofthe car control systems preventingthe wheels from locking on slipperyroads, or intense braking. Therefore,it reduces the brake distance, steerabi l i ty , improves s tabi l i ty , andincreases car safety in general .If the wheels slip, when braking, notonly the brake distance increases butalso the car control is endangered. Therefore, using the anti-lock brakingsystem (ABS) system is necessary inthis situation. It prevents fully lockingof the wheels, and lets the driver tocontrol the vehicle when makingsudden and intense brakes. Thesystem has a considerable effect onincrease safety since it controls anda d j u s t s t h e b r a k i n g p r e s s u r eelectronically, and adapts itself tovariations in road surface. In the conventional hydraulic brakes,a timely constant pressure is appliedto the brake pedal, and causes to lockthe wheels on braking.
New navigation and stability system such as ABS prevent wheels from locking in thesesituations, which may cause critical driving situations. ABS actually monitors each ofthe wheels, and it can adjust braking pressures so that each wheel gets the maximumpossible braking force without locking of the wheel while functioning. It preventscontinual locking and slipping of tires, and can provide the best braking conditions forthe vehicle to remain stable and controllable especially on slippery roads. It is possible to summarize the advantages of the anti lock braking system (ABS)as follows:1- Ability to maneuver and maintain the stability of the vehicle when braking ( on directpaths and while changing direction)2- Sustained steerability during braking ( on direct paths and while changing direction)3- Reducing the burden of responsibility regarding the driver4- Preventing the wearing of tires due to impeding repeated locking of the brakesand slipping of tires.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS)
When using a car equipped with antilock brake system always consider thefollowing points*:- Since the anti lock brake system is onlyfor balancing the braking force, thereforewhen braking sufficiently press the brakepedal and always follow safetyguidelines.-Feeling brake pedal vibrations under thefoot while braking over unstable roadsor sudden braking is normal and causedby the operation of the anti brake system.- To hear noise when braking overunstable roads or sudden braking fromfront and rear wheels is normal and dueto the operation of the anti brake system.- The anti brake system is equipped withan automatic defect finding system thatwill light the anti lock brake systemwarning indicator on the frontpanel display in case of a problem.
- When the car is turned on, the anti- lockbrake system warning indicator on the front panel display is on and willturn off after a few seconds. If thewarning indicator does not light whenthe car is turned on or remains lit, is asign of problem in the anti lock brakesystem. In this situation the car shouldbe directed to an authorized workshopwith precaution.- If the handbrake is completely releasedthe handbrake indicator and antilock brake system warning indicator
are both lit on the front paneldisplay, stop the car with precaution andcontact an authorized workshop.
Electronic Brake Force DistributionSystem (EBD)*EBD system balances braking forcesratio over rear and front wheels, andprevent over braking on rear-axis wheels. The system provides an optimizing andan ideal distribution ratio of the brakeforce between rear and front axes, andthen can provide the best braking forceratio on each wheel to maximize bestbrake performance. Also by using theEBD, the pressure valve of the vehiclewill be no longer needed.ABS system, immediately preventslocking the wheel in sudden braking, andEBD ensures the optimized brakingdistribution on the wheels. When youuse a car equipped with anti-lock brakingsystem, consider the following:In the case of any problem in EBDsystem, an alarm sign display on panel.
*If equipped
!
!CAUTIONABS braking system will functionindependently from the pressureexerted on the brake pedal. Thereforein critical situation, it is recommendedto exert a forceful and steady pressureon brake pedal. It is to be noted that itis not mandatory to exert subsequent(multiple) pressure on the brake pedal.
WARNINGThis system shall not be deemed as a reason to incite you into sudden acceleratingand driving with high speed. Indeed, nothing can be replaced instead of driver'sresponsibility and precaution while driving. This performance is an auxiliary system which manages the driver's responseaccording to the prompt circumstances during driving in critical conditions.

Tread wear indicatorThe tires of your vehicle have molded-in tread wear indicators in the grooves. When the indicators appear on the treadsurface, the remaining depth of the treadis 1.6 mm or less and the tires should bereplaced.
Tires air pressure:Measure the air pressure of the tires atleast once per week, when the tires arecold. Under inflation can cause causesheat and reduce the life of the tire. Overinflation can have negative effects on theconvenient driving.
Tire size:Your vehicle tire size is molded on itswall as follows:
185/65 R15, in which 185 is the tire widthin mm, 65 is the ration of the tire heightto its width, R indicates radial structureand 15 is the diameter of the wheel ininch.
Tire rotations in vehicle:Front tires wear more than rear tires dueto braking, driving and steering forcesin front wheel drive vehicles. So it isrecommended to rotate tires as followsafter each 5000 km. to avoid uneven wearof your tires.Note 1: first rotation of tires is veryimportant.Note 2: above method is notrecommended for those tires thatdirection of their turning is important forthem.
Tire inspectionDrive always while considering thesituation of the vehicle’s tires. Inspectregularly the treads and sidewalls of thetires to find if there is any damage(particularly cracks and nodes).
PuncturePunctures tire should be taken out andinspected before patching. To avoid further possible damages to thetire, it should be repaired by skilledperson. All repairs should be performedby skilled persons who undertake fullresponsibility of the repair quality.
Warning-Damaged tires are dangerous. Avoiddriving with damaged, worn or over-inflated tires.-Use always same type radial tires forfront and rear wheels. Never use tireswith crisscross pattern. Your vehicleswheels are not for tubed tires. Do notuse tubed tires.-Never drive with worn, cracked andunadjusted air pressure tires. Under-inflated tires are worn rapidly, causeincrease of the fuel consumption anddecrease of steerability.

!
Battery Care & MaintenanceA) Always keep the battery case clean.B) To prevent the poles from becomingsulfated, cover them in industrial Vaselineor grease.C) The electrolyte level in the batteryshould always be kept the same.To do that, the battery electrolyte levelshould be checked at least once every 15days and if the level drops, to recover itby adding only distilled water. Additionof other liquids such as industrial water, sulfuric acid and…. will inflictirrecoverable damage to the battery. If inthis case, water evaporation volume ismore than it should be, the vehicle shouldbe taken to an authorized representativeto be checked. In addition, prevent the battery cells frombeing left without electrolyte. Since itsnegative plates will synthesize with theoxygen in the air in a short time and thepositive plates will also become sulfatedand ultimately the battery will becomeuseless.
!Caution:In case of disconnecting or changingthe battery and E.C.U, the vehicle'sengine should be adjusted in one of theauthorized dealer of Iran Khodro bypertinent turner.Never start your machine if the batteryappears to be frozen.Make sure the voltage of both batteriesto be equal (12 V). Leads should haveinsulated clamps which are suitable forbeing used with 12 Volt batteries.Do not disconnect the cables of the flatbattery during jump start.Never connect the positive (+) terminalof the battery to the negative (-)terminal. Make sure to keep the jumpleads away from moving parts of theengine.Do not install non-standard electricalaccessories to your vehicle. This maycause damages to your vehicle'selectrical system and battery which arenot covered by Guarantee.Your vehicle should not be started bypushing. This starting method couldresult in cam belt and serious damagesto your vehicles electronic systemswhich are not covered by Guarantee.
CautionMake sure the voltage of both batteriesto be equal (12 V). Leads should haveinsulated clamps which are suitablefor being used with 12 Volt batteries. If your vehicle is not going to be drivenfor a long term, disconnect its cablesand charge the battery every 4 weeks.Since the vehicle's start is 12 volt, using a 24 volt battery or two 12 voltbatteries will damage the vehicle'selectrical systems. So only a 12 voltbattery should be used as an auxiliarybattery.

Fuel consumption
Fuel consumption data are obtained based onthe standard and in test rooms under certainconditions of environment, controlled windspeed, rood, route and standard drivingmethod and certain weight of the vehicle. These data are only as technical specificationof your vehicle for comparison with othervehicles. Increase of fuel consumption inactual driving is normal.
To decrease fuel consumption and obtainingminimum fuel consumption:1-Make sure of the engine proper work byperiodical inspection and maintenance (timelyreplace of the air filter).2-Use proper tires (as per manual book) andadjust the air pressure of the tires3-Drive stress-free and avoid unnecessaryacceleration and braking.4-Avoid driving high speed. Optimum fuelconsumption is at fixed speed of 90 km/h.5-Take down unnecessary loads.6-Switch off the vehicle when stopping fora long time.7-Plan your urban trip to avoid heavy trafficroutes/hours8-Park your vehicle in suitable places in
various seasons (confined and away from sunshine areas)9-Use proper low speed gear in down hillgradients and avoid pushing accelerate pedal.
