Züblin Egypt LLC – Projects & Duties Project: Port Said Tunnels under Suez Canal – Construction of Diaphragm walls

Position: Surveying Manager

Owner: Ministry of Defense - Engineering Authority for Egyptian Armed Forces

Contractor: Joint Venture of Arab Contractors and Orascom Construction

The project consists of establish three transportation tunnels under Suez Canal at Port Said city [two for roads and the third tunnel for railway] with TBM outer diameter 13.02 m and my company scope is constructing the diaphragm walls as shoring system for launch and reception shafts of TBM, In addition to starting and end plug panels, cut and cover panels and cross passages panels.

Job Responsibilities:

Arranging survey activities with site manager and QC engineer according to D-W panel excavation schedule. Leading surveying team to verification of guide wall location and determine location of D-W panel. Preparing reports of deviation and inclination of D-W panel, also monitoring settlement during excavation. Adjust verticality of hydraulic cutter, determine site obstacles and volume calculation of bentonite pools.

Preparing as-built of D-W panel after excavation until bottom slab of shafts for TBM installation.

villas [each unit consists of two resident villas with own driver room], all units executed by tunnel form

method. Also construct 4 km. of external fence and two gates.

Installation of sewage and storm networks with a total length 25 km. using Upvc, GRP, RC pipes with varying

diameter from 200 mm to 1400 mm. In addition to house connection, manholes and gullies.

Project: Rehabilitation of the Water & Wastewater System for Industrial Cities in Jeddah, Riyadh & Qassiem


Client: International Water Distribution Company


Rehabilitation and improvements of the Water & Wastewater system for Industrial Cities. And the work includes the

upgrading of existing water & wastewater facilities and pump stations.

Project: Master Plan for Water & Wastewater for Makkah Al-Mukarramahm – Stage 2




Master plan for the city of holy Makkah and its extensions till the year of 2050 (119,000 ha). The work includes the

upgrading of existing water supply and sanitary drainage facilities, and the extensions till the target year, preliminary

designs and preparation of detailed design and tender documents for 20 contracts (total water pipes lengths 2500

km and total wastewater sewers lengths 2200 km).

Project: Wastewater Studies and Final Design for Additional Areas in Riyadh




The project objective is to prepare the techno-economical studies, detailed design and Tender for sewerage system

to serve all remaining areas around Riyadh City within the urban development boundaries (70,000 Ha). The project
