Mobility Data – Times are Changing
• Mobile phones / smartphones are in widespread use. Canada mobile Internet penetration is 58% (Jan 2014)
• Active mobile subscriptions = 76% mobile penetration (26,263,000 users / 34,568,211 population)

• Mobile phones are changing the way people access financial services. US Banking Industry has seen a steady rise in mobile banking - 51% of smartphone owners used mobile banking in 2013 (up from 48% a year earlier)
• Mobile phones are changing the way people make payments. Stats from 2012 - 2013 show an increase in usageo 13.3% increase in number of mobile phone owners making mobile payments
o Mobile bill payments through online systems increased from 42% 2012 to 66% in 2013
