Evaporation technology offers the simplest and most effective approach to industrial wastewater minimization. ENCON
Wastewater Evaporators are able to handle a wide range of waste streams simultaneously and are a great option for
manufacturing processes that may expand or change in the future.
Many companies that generate industrial wastewater are hauling their water for disposal at a high cost per gallon. Other
ompanies are treating the wastewater, often with labor and chemical intensive processes, and are having to adhere to
ncreasingly strict discharge limits to their local sewer authority.
ENCON Drum and Thermal Evaporators offer an alternative to hauling and treating by safely evaporating wastewater to
atmosphere at a dramatically lower cost. ENCON Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC) Evaporators recover and
ecycle wastewater as distilled water for reuse or discharge to the sewer. ENCON MVC Evaporators are very energy
efficient with typical energy costs in the range of $0.01 0.02 per gallon of distilled water. Finally, the ENCON Drum Dry
will efficiently dewater concentrated residues to a dry condition, in most cases, for landfill disposal.
All ENCON systems are designed to operate off shift and unattended to minimize manpower requirements and cost.

Drum EvaporatorsENCON Drum Evaporators are an excellent low cost solution for your low volume wastewater dewatering. Since the
eating elements do not come in contact with the wastewater, there is no risk of baking onto the heat transfer surface.
This makes the Drum Evaporator an excellent solution for dirtier applications such as bottoms from your Thermal
Evaporator, as well as water based inks, paints, and adhesives. Since the evaporator vessel is a 55 gallon drum, at the
end of the evaporation/drying cycle the drum can be capped and hauled for disposal without requiring hours of operator
ntervention to scrape and empty contents from the tank. The ENCON Drum Evaporator is offered in two models; the DE
ated for up to 200 gallons per 5 day week, and the DE4 rated for up to 400 gallons per 5 day week.
Thermal EvaporatorsENCON Thermal Evaporators and wastewater recovery technology have been supplied to our commercial and industrial
lients for the past 17 years with hundreds installed throughout North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East
and Asia. In addition to our standard heat source offerings of natural gas, propane, oil, diesel, kerosene, steam, and
electricity; we can also provide these systems for off spec landfill gas and waste oil applications. This offers the

evaporation capacities of 10-400 gallons per hour. In addition to heating wastewater to boiling temperatures and

Drum DryerENCON Drum Dryers are an excellent low cost solution for your low volume gross dewatering and drying applications. In
evaporation mode these systems will dewater your dirtiest waste streams such as evaporator bottoms, salt slurries, inks
paints, and adhesives. Since the heating elements do not come in contact with the wastewater, there is no risk of baking
onto the heat transfer surface. Once gross dewatering is complete, the system is easily switched into drying mode. In
rying mode the concentrated slurry is gently mixed and vertically conveyed to expose moisture and yield a homogeneou
ry residue. Since the dryer vessel is a 55 gallon drum, at the end of the drying cycle the drum can be capped and haule
or disposal without requiring hours of operator intervention to scrape and empty contents from the tank.
