 PROGRAM OVERVIEW Energy Asset Management (EAM) trains students in the business side of the oil and gas industry. Students learn all functions within the industry (including an appreciation for the technical side of the business), and will graduate with relevant skill in the administration of the regulatory, financial, and contractual compliance workflow pertaining to energy industry assets. The Energy Asset Management program focuses on five areas that are involved in the asset management life cycle. Mineral and Surface Land Management Well Asset Management Joint Venture Production Accounting Operations Accounting PROGRAM LENGTH Two-year program, consisting of four 15-week semesters. Fall start. Full-time study. CREDENTIALS & ACCREDITATION  After successfully completing this program, graduates will receive a SAIT diploma in Energy Asset Management. The program is approved by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology (AAET). ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS  Alberta High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 50% in the following courses or their equivalents: Pure Math 30,  Applied Math 30, or Math 31, English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2.  YOUR CAREER 

 As an Energy Asset Management graduate you can work in thenon-technical or business side of the energy industry and dealwith contracts, leases, regulatory obligations, and accountingtasks; reporting to partners, management, and government.

You will have career opportunities in the petroleum industry,which may involve working for energy service companies,government departments, and in field operations.

Types of starting positions may include: Junior Mineral Land Analyst, Junior Field Administrator, Junior Production/Cost/Field Analyst, Junior Surface Land Analyst, Junior Royalty Accountant, Junior Revenue/Royalty Analyst, Junior JointInterest Analyst, Junior Mineral Fee Title Analyst, and Junior Well/Facility Asset Technician.

Energy Asset Management graduates are skilled in problemsolving and negotiation, have a high attention to detail, areproficient with a variety of computer applications, and are able tomulti-task.

GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT STATISTICS

The first graduates of the Energy Asset Management programgraduated in 2011. Therefore official employment statistics willnot be available until 2012.
