Educational Objectives This course is intended for surgeons who want to acquire knowledge and experience in endoscopic endonasal and transcranial skull base surgery and improve the understanding of one of the most fascinating areas of the brain. Different midline and paramedian skull base regions will be approached, in order to provide a 360 degrees overview of the main neurovascular structures along the skull base surface. The mission is to provide a comparative understanding of the same anatomy as seen from the endonasal and the transcranial perspective. Lectures and hands-on laboratory facilities will be provided. At the conclusion of the course, the participants should be able to discuss the latest advances and controversies in endoscopic endonasal and microsurgical transcranial techniques in skull base approaches and be confident with indications and principles of cranial base tumors management. The attendees should be able to demonstrate relevant skills in practical application of the main approaches, describing diagnostic problems and complications management strategies.
