KEAMANAN PANGAN PRODUK HERBALFOOD SAFETY ON HERBAL PRODUCTS

Di Indonesia, industri jamu ataupun produk herbal sangat berkembang.Produk-produk tersebut peredarannya diawasi oleh Balai Pengawasan Obatdan Makanan (BPOM).BPOM melaksanakan evaluasi produk sebelum dipasarkan dan pengawasanproduk di pasar sesuai dengan standar internasional.Semua produk herbal yang beredar di pasaran harus melalui uji keamananyang dilakukan oleh badan resmi milik pemerintah ini.Produk yang telah terdaftar dan lulus uji keamanan akan mendapatkannomor registrasi yang akan tertera pada kemasan produk.Produk yang telah lolos uji BPOM merupakan produk resmi yang dijaminkeamanannya.

Drugs and Foods Control (BPOM).BPOM conducts pre-market evaluation and post-market control based oninternational standard.All herbal products must be tested on the safety that conducted by thisAgency.The products that have already tested and safe to be consumed will getregistered numbers and it must be marked on the packages.Products that have been passed food safety tests are legal products.

Produk herbal yang beredar di pasaran harus melalui berbagai tahappengujian.Dan untuk mengetahui tahap pengujian atau kategorinya, kita dapat melihattanda di setiap kemasan produk herbal resmi.Tahap pertama adalah teruji secara empiris.Produk yang baru melalui tahap ini akan dikelompokkan dalam kategori 'Jamu'.Dan kita dapat melihat logo kategori ini pada kelompok jamu di setiapkemasannya.

Herbal products that sold on the market must be tested on so many stages.And to know the test that have been passed, we can see the logo on eachpackage of the legal products.The first stage is empirically tested.The products that just tested empirically are grouped on category 'Jamu' ortraditional herbal medicines.And we can see the logo of this category at every packages.

Tahap kedua adalah uji pre-klinis.

Tahap ketiga atau tahap terakhir adalah telah teruji secara klinis.Dan produk yang telah melalui tahap ini dikelompokkan ke dalamfitofarmaka.

The third and also final stage is clinically tested.And products that have passed this test will grouped in Phytopharmaca.

Masalah utama dalam mengkonsumsi obat tradisional adalah dosis dan carapengolahannya.Tapi kita tidak akan menemui masalah ini jika kita menggunakan produklegal.Karena pada setiap produk telah disertakan petunjuk pemakaian dan dosis,peringatan dan juga ukuran penyajian.Menggunakan produk legal jauh lebih aman dibanding meracik atau meramusendiri.

The main problem on consuming traditional medicines is about the dosageand the way on processing.But we can't find the problem if we use legal products.Because each product include user guide and dosage, cautions and alsoother interesting informationUsing legal products is much safer than mix their own.

There isn't a lot of good testing on herbal products here. I've heard concentrations canvary from lot to lot. I still take certain things though - like bromelain for injuries.

I think almost Indonesian have ever consumed herbal products. We can findvarious herbal medicines sold on drugstores or groceries. So our governmentmake so many regulations to make sure that all products are safe to beconsumed.
