INSTALLATION OF THE SOFTPHONE

Installation of the softphone1. Go to https://bcs.destiny.be and log-in with your username and password

2. In the tab ‘homepage’, choose ‘applications’ as shown hereunder

3. In the tab “applications”, download the Softphone by clicking on the hyperlink

4. Execute the downloaded file “softphone.exe” and go through the setup-wizard

5. Once you completed the wizard, open the Destiny Softphone. A new installation wizard will be

opened. Click “Next”

6. Please insert your server settings:

• URL of the server: https://bcs.destiny.be

• User-id: *your username*

• Password *your password*

7. Skip the next two steps (later in installation of the headset)

8. You are ready to use the Destiny softphone

1. Make a connection with your pc by placing the USB cable/dongle in the USB port of your pc

2. Your pc will install the right drivers. This can take a few minutes. If the drivers are installed, you willreceive this pop-up:

Now that your headset has been installed, we need to connect it with the Destiny Softphone1. Open the Destiny Softphone

2. Go in the menu to“Extra” > “Options…”

3. Go to the tab “Audio”-settings

4. You can always choose between two audio profiles (where the sound will come from)• Speaker profile

• Headset profile

Go to tab “Headset” and choose your“input device”, “output device” or “ringing tone device”. Click “ok”.

5. In the left corner of the softphone, you can easily switch between speaker or headset profile.

• Zone 1 – Status field• To adapt your presence by clicking on your status and selecting a new one

• Zone 2 – Search field• You can insert a phone number to call someone

• You can insert a contact’s name and call directly

If you receive a call, you will treat this in the tab “Calls”. When someone calls you or you call someone, you will see this:

• Transfer a call

• Before transfering a call, you might want to have first a conversation with the person you will

transfering to. If this person accepts, you can connect the caller with the new person and end the call.

• Steps:

1. Start a new call while you are having the active call you want to transfer. The active call will be –

automatically – put on hold. Wait for an answer of the new person you are calling.

2. If his person accepts the transfer, click on “Transfer call”

You will see an extra arrow next to your other call.

3. Click on “Transfer” in the screen of the 3rd party to transfer the call

• You can replace 1 and 2 by dragging the call.
