End-of-Term 2 Test

Jan: Hey Ralph. The last day of school is tomorrow. Summer’s coming! Are you glad?

Ralph: Oh yes. I’m happy to sleep late. I don’t like waking up so early!

Jan: I know. School has got a difficult timetable! I like school, but I’m happy to have a break. What else do you like doing in the summer?

Ralph: I love swimming and camping. It’s great to be outdoors. How about you?

Jan: I like to help my mum in the garden. We plant flowers and grow vegetables. I don’t like swimming but I like being in the water sometimes.

My name’s Laura. I live in London, but I’m from Venice. Every year, my family and I go back to Venice to see my grandparents. It’s a big trip and I’ve got a lot of things to pack! I always pack my passport, of course. That’s very important. We don’t need maps, because we know the streets very well. We go in spring and it’s too cold to swim. I leave my swimsuit at home! My parents have got the money, but I also take a little money with me. I’ve always got my hat with me because the weather is sunny. My mummy’s always got the tickets. Daddy and I take our cameras. His camera is really cool, but I can’t take photos with it. I love my camera because it’s easy! I’ve also got my smartphone with me, and I never forget to take a good book. My backpack is usually very full!

Ralph: My dad’s got a boat, and we go sailing at the lake often. Maybe you can come with us, if you want.

Jan: That sounds great! Thanks for the invitation.

Ralph: Sure. Well, see you in class tomorrow. Our last day!

Jan: See you!
