Vaisala high-quality weather station enclosures protect weather station electronicsfrom the weather and other damaging elements. Enclosure materials are selected towithstand harsh roadside conditions, where de-icing chemicals constantly try tocontaminate the enclosure.

Robust designThe enclosures are made of stainlesssteel and the seams are continuouslywelded for maximum strength andsolidity.

Rubber flanges provide cabling accessthrough the bottom of the enclosure.

The door sealing is water proof.

The backplate to which all electronics areattached is made of stainless steel.

Additional shieldingOptional shielding is available for theenclosures. The set contains a cablingbox that protects the cabling fromvandalism and a radiation shield thatprotects the enclosure from excessivesunshine and falling material such as iceand tree branches.

Like the enclosure itself, the shieldingelements are finished with powdercoating.

Easy installationTo ease the installation, the enclosuresare delivered with a mounting frame. Themounting frame can be used to installthe enclosure on a wall or on thebackplate of another enclosure.

Mounting accessories are also availablefor mounting the enclosure on a thin polemast, a thick pole mast, or a lattice mast.

The enclosure door has two hinges and awind lock to keep it open in heavy winds.All installation and maintenance workcan be done without the door bangingon your shoulder.

Standard and slim modelsWith the standard ENC652 enclosure,you have a wider selection ofcomponents that fit inside the enclosure.On the other hand, the slim BOX722 canbe used in places where space is limited.

The following components are onlyavailable with ENC652:

• Additional power supply unit for theWMT700 sensor that has heatedtransducers and array arms

• Output socket for on-site tools orlaptop

• Residual-current circuit breaker (GFCI)

• Mains terminal strip for easier powersupply connection

ENC652 also has room for a larger,26 Ah / 12 V backup battery, whileBOX722 can only accommodate a 12 Ah /12 V backup battery.
