Pooling Resources Together to Clean Water • Singapore wastewater treatment specialist Liquinex has collaborated with three partners with
complementary technologies to enhance their water purification system over the last few years.– With green tech company LightLab Sweden, they have developed the H20-KASE , a compact water
purification system in a suitcase for clean drinking water. These have been deployed for humanitarian missions, e.g. Kerala floods and Sulawesi earthquake in 2018.
– Liquinex and Canadian graphene R&D company Grafoid will explore the use of graphene in its water treatment applications to overcome limitations of standard filtration materials and treat a wider variety of contaminants.
– Together with Dutch water tech company Aquaporin, the Forward Osmosis Compact-KASE to improve wastewater treatment and processing has been co-developed.Read more
Collaboration Enables Optimisation of Controlled-release Technology• Singapore-based materials science company Hydroemission controlled-release systems are
applied across a range of environmental, industrial and consumer applications. They were seeking partners to help them optimise its controlled-release delivery technology for better treatment efficacy.
• They have embarked on a partnership with the Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences (ICES) to develop a testing protocol with tailored analytical methods for Hydroemission’scontrolled-release delivery system and a three-year collaboration for characterisation studies and shelf-life analysis of its larvicide active ingredients.
