Important Safety Instructions

Please read all safety instructions before using yournew Electrolux dishwasher.

• Read all instructions before using yourdishwasher.

• Use your dishwasher only as instructed inthis Use and Care Manual.

• This manual does not cover every possiblecondition and situation that may occur. Usecommon sense and caution when installing,operating and maintaining any appliance.

• National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certifiedresidential dishwashers are not intended forlicensed food establishments. Suchestablishments require a higher dishwasherwater temperature to meet commercialsanitization requirements.

• DISHWASHER MUST BE ELECTRICALLYGROUNDED. Read the InstallationInstructions for details.

• This dishwasher is designed to operate onregular house current (120 V, 60 Hz). Use acircuit equipped with a 15 ampere fuse orcircuit breaker. Use a 20 ampere fuse orcircuit breaker if dishwasher is connectedwith a food waste disposer.

• Do not operate dishwasher unless allenclosure panels are in their proper place asexplained in the Installation Instructionsprovided with your dishwasher.

• To avoid entrapment and/or suffocation,remove the door to the washing compartmentwhen removing an old dishwasher fromservice or discarding it.

• Keep children away from the front of thedishwasher so that they are not accidentallyhit by the door during loading and unloadingor if door should unexpectedly open. Theweight of the door can cause injury.

• Use only detergents and rinse agentsrecommended for use in a dishwasher.

• Do not abuse, sit on, or stand on the door ordish rack of the dishwasher.

• Disconnect electrical power to dishwasherbefore servicing.

• Repairs should be done by a qualifiedElectrolux professional.

• Do not tamper with controls.

• Use care unloading the dishware when theSANITIZE option has been selected. Contentsmay be hot to the touch immediately after theend of cycle.

• When loading and unloading items:

• Locate sharp items and knives so thatthey are not likely to damage the tub ordoor seal.

• Load sharp items and knives with thehandles up to reduce the risk of cut-typeinjuries. Alternatively, place sharp itemsand knives in the utensil shelf located inthe upper rack.

• Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas maybe produced in a hot water system that hasnot been used for 2 weeks or more.HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If hot watersystem has not been used for such a period,before using dishwasher, turn on all hot waterfaucets and let water flow from each forseveral minutes. This will release anyaccumulated hydrogen gas. HYDROGEN GASIS FLAMMABLE. Do not smoke or use anopen flame during this time.

• Do not store or use combustible materials,gasoline or other flammable vapors andliquids in the vicinity of this or any otherappliance.

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, orserious injury when using your dishwasher, followbasic precautions including the following:

• Store dishwasher detergent and rinse agentsout of the reach of children.

• Do not wash plastic items unless marked“dishwasher safe” or the equivalent. Checkwith manufacturer for recommendations, if notmarked. Items that are not dishwasher safemay melt.

• If the dishwasher drains into a food disposal,make sure disposal is completely emptybefore running dishwasher.

5 Operating Instructions

Your dishwasher uses energy efficient motors forthe wash and drain portions of the cycle you select.Each cycle has a series of water fills and drains forwashing and rinsing dishes. As each cycle begins,you may or may not hear the drain motor. You mayalso hear the splashing water as it enters the tuband the spray arms as they rotate and circulatewater. The wash motor often pulsates throughoutthe cycle, which varies water pressure andoptimizes performance.

2 Add detergent. (See Dishwasher Dispenser &Detergents, pages 12-14.)

3 Add rinse aid, if needed. (See Rinse Aid,page 14.)

4 Select desired CYCLE. (See Cycle Selections,pages 6-7.) The touchpads are illuminatedwhite when selected.

5 Select desired OPTIONS. (See EnergyOptions Selections, page 7.) The touchpadsare illuminated white when selected.

6 To start, press START/CANCEL touchpad andclose door. (See Start/Cancel, page 8.)

GETTING STARTED

To run your dishwasher, follow thesebasic steps:

1 Load dishwasher. (See Preparing and Loading Dishes, pages 9-11.)

Press and hold SANITIZE touchpad for 8 seconds beforefirst use.

NORMAL OPERATINGSOUNDS

ENERGY USE

This unit uses an in-line water heating element thatis located under the tub. There is no exposedheater that plasticware might come in contact withor that is accessible to touch. The heat is taken tothe dishware through the heated water. For thisreason, plastic dishware may be placed where itfits best - either rack is OK. Temperatures areuniform throughout the dishwasher.

In many dishwashers when thorough drying isdesired the exposed heater is run after the finaldrain to heat and dry the dishware. If the userprefers to save energy and dry the dishes by handthey select air dry instead of heated dry. Thepowerful heater in your unit is not able to be dry.Air dry is still an option. If you prefer to spendslightly more on energy to get the dishes drier thenturn the air dry off. In response the wash and rinsetemperatures in the cycle will be increased. Thiswill help the cleaning and it will also get the dish-washer hotter. When the final drain removes allstanding water, the extra heat stored in thedishware will act to evaporate the remaining water.

Your unit provides a selection of cycles. In general,the more water used by a cycle and the hotter thetemperatures it reaches the more energy that ituses. Several cycles, such as the Normal cycle willchange their response based on soil level, optionsselected, and ambient conditions. The Normalcycle is good for all around use. Other cycles arefocused toward special use like the Heavy or PowerPlus cycle that are designed for heavily soiledcookware.

The total energy is based on running the averagenumber of cycles per year, applying typical soillevels to the dishware and, half the time, selectingthe option of using extra energy to more fully drythe dishware. Actual energy and water use willdepend upon the cycle and options you select.

The yellow energy guide label that came on yourunit tells how much energy it would use in one yearand how it compares to others that are available.The energy is based on the Normal cycle responseto tests that apply soils and dishware that simulatethe average use. Eight place settings of dishwareand some serving pieces are used during the test.

Auto WashWhen a partial load of lightly soiled dishes isplaced in the unit, a wash cycle similar to a shortwash will automatically be performed. When a fullload of heavily soiled dishes is placed in the unit, aheavy wash cycle will automatically be performed.The dishwasher's Smart Sensor technology willdetermine the type of cycle required to clean thedishes and will clean more efficiently every time.Water usage ranges from approximately 5.5 to 10.7gallons. Wash time ranges from approximately 99 to162 mins.

Normal WashFor regularly soiled dishes and silverware. Waterusage ranges from approximately 4.2 to 9.3gallons. Wash time ranges from approximately 91 to144 mins.

Eco Wash

For lightly soiled and pre-rinsed dishes andsilverware. Water usage ranges from approximately5.6 to 6.8 gallons. Wash time ranges fromapproximately 78 to 80 mins.

Stemware

For lightly soiled China and Crystal. Water usage isapproximately 6.8 gallons. Wash time ranges fromapproximately 85 to 92 mins.

CookwareFor pots, pans, casseroles and dinnerware withdried-on or baked-on soils. Water usage isapproximately 9.5 gallons. Wash time ranges fromapproximately 130 to 149 mins.

WASH CYCLE SELECTIONS

Cycle times are approximate and vary by optionsselected. Hot water is necessary to activatedishwasher detergent and melt fatty food soils.

An automatic sensor checks the water temperaturefor the main wash of each cycle. Run hot waterfaucet nearest dishwasher until water is hot.

CYCLE SELECTIONS

The Smart Sensor checks the soil level on yourdishes in the Auto, Normal and Eco cycles.Depending on soil level, the sensor will determine ifadditional water fills are needed to clean the dishesor if water fills can be deleted. Cycle time andwater usage will vary based on the amount of soilon the dishes. Cycle time will also vary based onthe options selected and the incoming watertemperature.

NOTEYour unit has DishSenseTM Technology that isused to understand how heavily soiled the dishload is so the cycle can be automaticallyadjusted to the appropriate response. This helpsto prevent energy waste. The sensor is calibratedat the end of the cycle. For the first cycle afterpower is applied (when first installed or after apower failure) the sensor will not be calibratedand so cannot determine the soil load.Therefore, your unit will provide a responsesuitable for heavy soils on the first run afterpower is restored. This will assure that whateveris loaded will get cleaned. Energy use duringthis first run may be higher than would be typical.

ENERGY OPTION SELECTIONS

Sanitize

To sanitize your dishes and glassware, select theSANITIZE option. SANITIZE touchpad will turnwhite. This option heats the water temperature inthe final rinse to 157°F (69.4°C) and maintains thattemperature for 7 minutes. SANITIZE is available inAuto, Cookware, and Normal cycles. Only thesesanitization cycles have been designed to meetNSF requirements.

The cycle time will be extended until the properwater temperature is reached. Washing action willcontinue during the water heating delay. For bestresults, the incoming water temperature should beat least 120°F (49°C).

If the SANITIZE option was selected, “SA” will bedisplayed at the end of the cycle. “SA” will notdisplay at the end of the cycle if the NSFrequirements for sanitization are not reached. Thesanitization criteria may not be satisfied if there isan interruption of the cycle, a power failure occurs,or if the incoming water temperature is below 120°F(49°C).

To turn off the SANITIZE option, press SANITIZE asecond time. SANITIZE touchpad will turn blue.

OPERATION SELECTIONS

Delay Time

The Delay Time option allows you to automaticallydelay starting your dishwasher from 1 hour to 24hours.

Press the DELAY TIME touchpad until the desireddelay time shows in the STATUS window pressSTART/CANCEL to activate. Display will indicate thedelay start time and will countdown until cyclestarts.

To cancel the DELAY TIME option and begin thecycle before the delay period is over, press theSTART/CANCEL touchpad.

Child Lock Controls

To prevent children from accidently starting thedishwasher, lock the dishwasher controls bypressing and releasing the AIR DRY touchpad for 3seconds. All the buttons except AIR DRY will beOFF and the display will indicate “Loc” and no newselections can be made until the lock is released.To unlock the controls, press the AIR DRY touchpadfor 3 seconds, the unit will display the last cycleran.

STATUS WINDOW

NOTEOpening the door during normal operationwill only pause the selected cycle.

Start/Cancel

To start a cycle, press the START touchpad onceand close the door. To cancel when a cycle isrunning, open the door and press the CANCELtouchpad once. Close the door again and thedishwasher will drain and shut off.

Error Indications

In certain situations which are critical to the ma-chine function and safe operation, the control shallshut down and indicate an error code ‘Er’ (See ErrorCodes on page 21). On units without a display, allindicator lights will flash.

If one of these codes are displayed contact theElectrolux Customer Care Center at 1-877-435-3287. They will be able to provide assistance introubleshooting the problem and/or locating anauthorized service technician, if needed.

When BLUE LIGHT luminates on the floor thisindicates that the wash cycle is complete.

BLUE LIGHT

CHIMEThese models are equipped with a chime to audiblyindicate when you have pressed a cycle orselected an option.

1 HR-24HRS Indicates number of delay start hours for selected cycle.

Cd Displayed once the program has been entered, the START/ CANCEL touchpad is pressed

and after a 10 second delay. It also flashes if the door is opened during a wash cycle, after a 10 second delay. Close the dishwasher door to begin or continue a wash cycle.

SA Displayed when SANITIZE option has been selected, dishwasher has reached SANITIZE temperature at completion of wash cycle. SA will remain displayed for 10 seconds.

CL Displayed when wash cycle has been completed, SANITIZE has not been selected or SANITIZE temperature has not been reached. CL will remain displayed for 10 seconds.

The STATUS window displays codes typically seenduring programming of the dishwasher. The windowwill not display anything when the door is closed.The STATUS window indicates the following activity:

INTERIOR LIGHTSWhen door is opened, interior lights illuminateinside of dishwasher. These lights will turn off afterthe door is closed or the door remains opened for10 minutes.

Scrape away large pieces of food, bone, pits,toothpicks, etc. The wash system will removeremaining food particles. Gently scrape awayburned-on food with a non-scratch utensil or letdish soak before washing (see Figure 1). Emptyliquids from glasses and cups.

Foods containing vegetable oil and/or chemicaladditives such as mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar,lemon juice or tomato-based products may causediscoloration of stainless steel and plastics ifallowed to sit for a long period of time. Unless thedishwasher is to be operated at once, it is best torinse off these food soils.

• Load racks so that large items do not prevent the detergent dispenser from opening.

• Check manufacturer's recommendations before washing items in question.

• If the dishwasher drains into a food disposal, be sure disposal is completely empty before starting dishwasher.

• Load glasses in top rack. Damage may occur if placed in bottom rack unless Stemware Cycle is selected.

• Damage may occur if delicate items touch each other during dishwasher operation.

• Long-handled knives and utensils can be placed in the top rack's versa tray.

• Be sure nothing protrudes through the bottom of the rack to block rotation of middle spray arm.

LOADING THE TOP RACK

The top rack is designed for flexibility in loading awide variety of items including cups, glasses,stemware, small plates, bowls, etc.

LOADING THE BOTTOM RACK

•Large items should be placed along the edge so they do not block the middle spray arm rotation.

•For best results, place bowls, casseroles,and sauce pans with

soiled surface facing down or toward the center. Tilt slightly for better drainage.

•Make sure tall items do not block middle spray arm rotation.

•Be sure pan handles do not protrude through the bottom of the rack

and block the lower spray arm rotation.

Fold-down TinesThe fold-down tines in the lower rack make easyloading for those extra large and hard-to-fit items.The tines may be left up for normal use or foldeddown for more flexible loading.

Fold tines down for ease in loading large pots orpans.

ADJUSTING RACK HEIGHT

To accommodate taller dishes in the bottom rack,there are 3 positions available:

To raise the rack to the middle or upperposition, simply lift the rack. The lever isspring loaded to engage the middle orupper position. To lower the rack to themiddle or lower position, push lever withthumbs and push downwardsimutaneously. Releasing the lever willallow the middle position to be engaged.To ensure ease of adjustment whenadjusting the rack, ensure that the rackremains level from front to back with bothsides at the same height.

The top rack height can be easily adjusted toaccommodate loading taller dishes in either rack.Height should be adjusted without dishes in theracks.

The bottom rack is designed for plates, saucers,bowls, and cookware.

Our adjust rack space allows you to put items up to15” in the bottom rack.

LOADING THE SILVERWAREBASKET TO AVOID CUT INJURY: Load sharp items

(knives, skewers, etc.) pointing down.Failure to do so may result in injury.Load the silverware basket while it is in the bottom

rack or take the basket out for loading on a counteror table.

• Place small items like baby bottle caps, jar lids, corn cob holders, etc., in a

covered section. Close the cover to hold small items in place.

• Be sure nothing protrudes through bottom of basket or rack to block the lower spray arm.

• Do not mix silver and stainless items to avoid damaging the silver finish.

When covers are up, mix non-sharp items in eachsection of the basket with some pointing up andsome down to avoid nesting. Water spray cannotreach nested items.

ADDING A DISH

To add or remove items after wash cyclestarts:

1 Open door slightly and wait a few secondsuntil wash action stops before completelyopening.

2 Add the item.3 Close door firmly to latch and cycle will

automatically resume.

TO AVOID BURN INJURY: Slightly opendoor and wait until spray arms and washaction stop. Hot water may splash out ofdishwasher. Failure to do so may result ininjury.

Versa Tray

The versa tray can be used in the upper rack tohold spatulas, large spoons and other largeutensils.

Knife Basket

The knife basket can be used for large knives.

FILLING THE DETERGENTDISPENSER

The detergent dispenser has one main wash andone pre-wash cup. The covered cups openautomatically to release detergent.

• Use only automatic dishwashing detergent. Other detergents will cause oversudsing.

• When using automatic dishwashing detergent tabs, place one tab in main wash cups and close.

• Add detergent just before starting cycle.

• Store detergent in a cool, dry location. Moist or caked detergent will not dissolve properly.

HOW MUCH DETERGENT TOUSE

The amount of detergent to use depends on thewater hardness. Water hardness is measured ingrains per gallon (gpg). “Hard water” contains largeamounts, 9-12 grains per gallon (GPG), of minerals.Harder water will require more detergent and mayalso result in deposits on dishware and unit internalsurfaces.

Using too little detergent can result in poor cleaningand hard water filming or spotting. Using too muchdetergent in soft water can cause a permanent filmcalled “etching.” (See Etching, page 19.)

Your local water company, water softener companyor county extension agent can tell you the waterhardness in your area.

The use of industrial grade detergent candamage parts of the dishwasher leading todamage to the unit and surrounding property.Use only household grade automaticdishwasher detergents.

DETERGENT USAGE GUIDE

Refer to the following table for recommended detergent usage.

As shown in the last column of this table, a water softener is recommended to improve water quality anddishwashing performance when using very hard water.

Other suggestions:

• Try adding more detergent at the beginning of the main wash portion of the cycle.

• As a rule, use 1 teaspoon for each grain above 12. Unlatch the door, open slowly and add detergentto the bottom of the tub.

• Close the door to latch and the dishwasher will continue through the cycle.

RINSE AID

Rinse aid greatly improves drying and reduceswater spots and filming. It causes the water to“sheet” off of dishes rather than form waterdroplets that cling and leave spots.

The rinse aid dispenser, located next to thedetergent cup, automatically releases a measuredamount of rinse aid during the last rinse. If spottingand poor drying are problems, increase the amountof rinse aid dispensed by rotating the dial to ahigher number. The dial is located under thedispenser cap.

If the rinse aid is low, LOW RINSE displays at thebeginning and end of the cycle, indicating tha it istime to refill.

To add liquid rinse aid:

1 Turn dispenser cap 1/4 turn counterclockwiseand lift out.

2 Pour in rinse aid until liquid reaches the flatsurface marked MAX in the Rinse Aiddispenser. Do not overfill since this cancause oversudsing.

3 Replace cap.

4 Wipe up any spills with a damp cloth.

The dispenser holds enough for 35 to 140 washes,depending on setting.

15Factors Affecting Performance

WATER PRESSURE

The hot water line to the dishwasher must providewater pressure between 20 and 90 pounds persquare inch (psi).

Low water pressure may occur when laundry orshowers are in operation. Wait until water use isreduced before starting dishwasher.

WATER TEMPERATURE

Hot water is needed for best dishwashing anddrying results. Water entering the dishwashershould be at least 120°F (49°C) to give satisfactoryresults.

To check water temperature entering thedishwasher:

1 Turn on hot water faucet nearest dishwasherfor several minutes to clear cool water frompipes.

2 Hold a candy or meat thermometer in streamof water to check the temperature.

3 If temperature is below 120°F (49°C), have aqualified person raise the water heaterthermostat setting.

IMPORTANTBefore starting a cycle, run hot water toclear cool water from pipe.

16 Care & Cleaning

OUTSIDE

Occasionally wipe the outside surfaces of yourdishwasher with a mild nonabrasive detergent andwater. Rinse and dry.

Stainless Steel Door

Clean the stainless steel door and handle with hot,soapy water and a dishcloth. Rinse with cleanwater and a cloth. Do not use harsh scrubbingcleaners. Use only kitchen cleaners madeespecially for cleaning stainless steel.

Your dishwasher is equipped with a state of the artwash system. Periodically, the Glass Trap Filter andLarge Food Particle Trap may need to be cleaned tomaximize wash performance.

The Glass Trap Filter is located in the center of theLarge Food Particle Trap. The Glass Trap Filter isdesigned to collect pieces of broken glass, straws,bones and pits. To remove items in the Glass TrapFilter, grasp the handle, lift out, empty and replace.

Care of Drain Air GapIf a drain air gap was installed for your built-indishwasher, check to make sure it is clean so thedishwasher will drain properly. A drain air gap isusually mounted on the sink at the countertop andcan be inspected by removing the cover. This is notpart of your dishwasher and is not covered bywarranty.

Freezing temperatures may cause waterlines to rupture. Be sure all supply linesto and circulating lines within dishwasherare protected. Failure to do so couldresult in property damage.

WINTERIZING

A dishwasher left in an unheated place should beprotected from freezing. Have a qualified person dothe following:

To Disconnect Service:

1 Turn off electrical power to the dishwasher atthe supply source by removing fuses ortripping circuit breaker.

2 Shut off water supply.

3 Place a pan under the inlet valve. Disconnectwater line from inlet valve and drain into pan.

4 Disconnect drain line and drain water intopan.

To Restore Service:

1 Reconnect the water, drain, and electricalpower supply.

2 Turn on water and electrical power supply.

3 Fill both detergent cups and run dishwasherthrough a COOKWARE cycle.

IMPORTANTBefore calling for service, review this list. Itmay save you both time and expense. Thislist includes common experiences that arenot the result of defective workmanship ormaterial in your dishwasher.

FOOD SOILS LEFT ONDISHES

• Check incoming water temperature. (SeeGetting Started, page 5.) It should be at least120°F (49°C). (See Factors AffectingPerformance, page 15.)

• Choose another cycle for longer washingtime.

• Check rack loading section for properloading—avoid nesting items.

• Home water pressure may be too low—should be 20 to 90 pounds per square inch(psi).

• Check water hardness. For extremely hardwater, it may be necessary to install a watersoftener. (See Detergent Usage Guide, page13.)

• Use fresh detergent.

• Make sure items are not blocking any of thespray arms, preventing them from rotating.

DISHES NOT DRY

• Make sure the rinse aid dispenser is filled.

• Increase the amount of rinse aid (See RinseAid, page 14).

• Check the incoming water temperature. Besure it is at least 120°F (49°C).

• Check for proper loading—avoid nestingitems.

• Plastic items may need to be towel dried.Less water evaporates from plastic itemswhen cycle is complete because they do notretain as much heat as glass or metal items.

• Cups with a concave bottom will collectwater.

DISHWARE CHIPPED

• Load with care and do not overload. (SeePreparing and Loading Dishes, pages 9-11.)

• Place delicate items in top rack.

• Place glasses securely against pins and notover pins.

• Load items so they are secure and don’t jarloose when moving racks in and out. Moveracks in and out slowly.

• Make sure tall glasses and stemware willclear top of tub when rack is pushed in.

• It is recommeded to wash fine antique chinaand crystal by hand.

DISPLAY NOT IN OPERATINGMODE • Hold down SANITIZE touchpad for 8 seconds

to reset unit to Normal Operating Mode.

GLASSWARE / FLATWARESPOTTED OR CLOUDY

• Check water hardness. For extremely hardwater, it may be necessary to install a watersoftener. (See Detergent Usage Guide, page13.)

• Water temperature may be low. Avoidextremely low or high temperatures. (SeeFactors Affecting Performance, page 15.)

• Avoid overloading and improper loading. (SeePreparing and Loading Dishes, pages 9-11.)

• Use fresh detergent. Old detergent isineffective.

• Make sure rinse aid dispenser is filled.

• Check to see that proper amount of detergentis being used for cycle selected. (SeeDetergent Dispenser, pages 12-14.)

• Home water pressure may be too low—itshould be 20 to 90 pounds per square inch(psi).

DISHWARE STAINED ORDISCOLORED

• Tea and coffee can stain cups. Remove thestains by hand washing in a solution of 1/2cup (120 ml) bleach and one quart (1 L) ofwarm water. Rinse thoroughly.

• Iron deposits in water can cause a yellow orbrown film. A water filter installed in-line withyour water supply will correct this problem.

• Aluminum utensils can leave gray/blackmarks when they rub against other items.Load properly.

• Certain high acid foods can causediscoloration of stainless steel and plastics ifallowed to sit for a long period. Use the Rinsecycle or rinse by hand if not operatingdishwasher at once.

• Mixing stainless steel and silver utensils insilverware basket can cause pitting on thestainless steel utensils. Avoid mixingstainless steel and silver.

Solutions to Common Problems

ETCHING

• Using too much detergent in soft or softenedwater causes this film that cannot beremoved.

• Adjust the amount of detergent based on thewater hardness. (Check Detergent UsageGuide, page 13.)

• Lower the water temperature.

DETERGENT LEFT INDISPENSER CUP

• Detergent may be old. Discard and use freshdetergent.

• Be sure water action can reach the dispensermake sure spray arm is not blocked.

• Check to see if cycle has been completed.

• Make sure items do not prevent the detergentdispenser from opening.

• Make sure the upper rack is firmly engagedto the nozzle on the back of the tub beforeclosing the door.

DISHWASHER LEAKS

• Use only fresh detergent designed forautomatic dishwashers. Measure detergentcarefully. Try a different brand.

• Spilled rinse aid can cause foam and lead tooverflowing. Wipe up any spills with a dampcloth.

• Check to see that dishwasher is level (SeeInstallation Instructions).

NORMAL SOUNDS YOU WILLHEAR

• Normal sounds include water fill, watercirculation, water draining and motor sounds.

• Pump pulsing will cause motor speed toincrease and decrease at regular intervalsduring cycles.

WATER IN THE BOTTOM OFTHE TUB

• It is not normal for water to remain in thebottom of the tub at the end of a cycle. Ifwater remains in the bottom of the tub at theend of a cycle, the dishwasher may not bedraining properly. (See Dishwasher Does NotDrain Properly). The filter may also need tobe cleaned. (See Care of Filter, page 16.)Note: It is normal to see a small amount ofwater under the filter at the end of a cycle.

DISHWASHER WON’T RUN

• Check to see if circuit breaker is tripped or ifa fuse is blown.

• Make sure water supply is turned on.

• Check to see if cycle is set correctly.(See Operating Instructions, pages 5-8.)

• Check to see if the DELAY START option hasbeen selected.

• Make sure door is closed and latched.

DISHWASHER DOES NOTDRAIN PROPERLY

• If unit is hooked up to a garbage disposal,make sure the disposer is empty.

• If unit is hooked up to a new food wastedisposer, check to see if the “knockout” pluglocated inside the disposal inlet has beenremoved.

• Check to see if drain hose is kinked.

• Make sure cycle is complete, not in a pause.

CYCLE TAKES A LONG TIME

• Check to see if cycle is in a water heatingdelay.

• Check to see if the delay start option hasbeen selected.

• Check to see if the sanitize option has beenselected.

• Check to see if dishwasher is in the ChildLock cycle.

• Make sure Float is down and is not stuck up.

DISHWASHER WON’T FILL

• Check to see if the water supply is turned on.

• Add 1/2 cup of water to the bottom of the unitand start again.

• Make sure Float is in and down.

DISHWASHER HAS AN ODOR

• Soiled dishes left in dishwasher too long cancreate an odor. Use Rinse cycle.

• There will be a “new” smell when firstinstalled. This is normal.

• Run a Normal Cycle witht he sanitize optionselected.

• Check to see if unit is draining properly (SeeDishwasher Does Not Drain Properly, page20).

NOTEIf these conditions persist, a home watersoftener should be considered.

To remove build-up, spots and film, cleanusing the following instructions:

1 Load clean dishes and glasses in normalmanner. Do not load any metal utensils orsilverware.

2 Do not add detergent.

3 Select the NORMAL WASH cycle. PressSTART/CANCEL pad and close door.

4 Allow dishwasher to run until it begins thesecond fill. Open door and pour 2 cups ofwhite vinegar into the bottom of dishwasher.

5 Close and latch door and allow cycle tofinish.

Hard water can cause lime deposit build-up on theinterior of the dishwasher. Dishes and glasses mayalso get spots and film for a number of reasons(See Glassware/Flatware Spotted or Cloudy, page19).

REMOVING SPOTS ANDFILM

22Your appliance is covered by a one year limited warranty. For one year from your original date of purchase, Electrolux will repair orreplace any parts of this appliance that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship when such appliance is installed, used,and maintained in accordance with the provided instructions. The stainless tub and door liner of your appliance are covered by alifetime limited warranty. Su lavavajillas usa motores eficaces en el uso de laenergía para las porciones de lavado y de desagüedel ciclo que haya seleccionado. Cada ciclo tieneuna serie de llenados de agua y desagües paralavar y enjuagar los platos. A medida que cadaciclo comienza, usted puede o no oír el motor dedesagüe. Usted además puede oír el sonido delagua a medida que entra en la tina y los brazosrociadores girando y circulando el agua. El motordel lavado a menudo pulsa a través del ciclo, locual varía la presión del agua y mejora elrendimiento.

SONIDOS NORMALES DEFUNCIONAMIENTO

ENERGIALa etiqueta amarilla en la guía de energía que sesuministra en la unidad indica el consumo deenergía que tendrá al cabo de un año y la compararespecto de otras unidades disponibles. La

utilizan ocho platos y algunos cubiertos. La energíatotal se basa en ejecutar el número promedio anualde ciclos, aplicando niveles típicos e suciedad a lavajilla y, en la mitad de las veces, seleccionando laopción de uso de energía adicional para obtener unsecado más completo de la vajilla. El consumoreal de energía y agua dependerá de los ciclos ylas opciones que se seleccionen.

Esta unidad utiliza un elemento calentador de aguaubicado debajo del cubo. No hay ningúncalentador expuesto que pueda entrar en contactocon los utensilios plásticos o que sea fácil de tocar.El calor se aplica a la vajilla a través del aguacaliente. Por esta motivo, la vajilla de plásticopuede colocarse en el estante que mejor seadapte, ya que cualquiera es adecuado. Latemperatura es uniforme en todo el lavaplatos.

En varios lavaplatos cuando se requiere un secadocompleto, el calentador expuesto se utilizadespués del desagüe final, para calentar y secar lavajilla. Se el usuario prefiere ahorrar energía ysecar la vajilla a mano, se selecciona el secado alaire en lugar del secado térmico. El potentecalentador de la unidad no es apto para quefuncione en seco. Sin embargo, el secado al airees una opción. Si el usuario prefiere gastar un pocomás de energía para secar mejor los platos, sedebe desactivar la opcion de secado al aire. Enrespuesta a esta acción, se incrementarán lastemperaturas de lavado y enjuague del ciclo. Estoayudará a la limpieza y dejará ademas la vajillamás caliente. Cuando el desagüe final elimine elagua estancada, el calor adicional almacendao enla vajilla actuará para evaporar los restos de agua.

La unidad cuenta con una selección de ciclos. Engeneral, cuanto mayor sea la cantidad de aguautilizada por un ciclo y mayores sean lastemperaturas que se alcance, mayor será elconsumo de energía. Varios ciclos, como el ciclonormal, cambiarán su respuesta en función delnivel de suciedad, las opciones seleccionadas ylas condiciones ambientales. El ciclo normal esbueno para un uso general. Otros ciclos son paraun uso especial, como el ciclo de carga pesada opotencia adicional, ideal para utensilios de cocinocon suciedad muy adherida.

La duración de los ciclos es aproximada y varía deacuerdo con las opciones seleccionadas. El aguacaliente es necesaria para activar el detergente dellavavajillas y derretir la suciedad dejada poralimento grasosos.Un sensor automático verifica la temperatura delagua de entrada para el lavado principal de cadaciclo, retrasando si es necesario el temporizador,hasta que el agua esté lo suficientemente caliente.Deje correr el agua calinte de la llave más cercanaal lavavajillas hasta que salga caliente.

'Normal Wash'Para cuchillería y platos normalmente sucios. Elconsumo de agua varía de aproximadamente 4,2 a9,3 galones. La duración del ciclo es deaproximadamente 91 y 144 minutos.

'Eco Wash'Para cuchillería y platos que han sido enjuagados yestán ligeramente sucios. El consumo de aguavaría de aproximadamente 5,7 a 6,8 galones. Laduración del ciclo es de aproximadamente 78 y 80minutos.

'Cookware'Para ollas, sartenes, cacerolas y platos con restosde alimentos resecos o quemados. El consumo deagua varía de aproximadamente 9,5 galones. Laduración del ciclo es de aproximadamente 130 y149 minutos.

Para China y el cristal finos ligeramente manchados.El consumo de agua varía de 6,8 galones. Eltiempo de lavado varía entre 85 y 92 minutos.

SELECCIONES DE CICLOS

El dispositivo 'Smart Sensor' verifica el nivel desuciedad de sus platos en los ciclos 'Auto''Normal' y 'Eco' . Dependiendo del nivel desuciedad, el sensor determinará si se necesitanllenados de agua adicionales para lavar los platos osi es necesario suprimir algunos llenados de agua.La duración del ciclo y el consumo de agua variaránde acuerdo con la cantidad de suciedad de losplatos. 'Stemware'

'Auto Wash'Cuando se coloca en el lavavajillas una cargaparcial de platos ligeramente sucios,automáticamente se realizará un ciclo de lavadosimilar a un lavado corto. Cuando se coloca unacarga completa de platos muy sucios,automáticamente se realizará un ciclo de lavadointenso. La tecnología 'Smart Sensor' dellavavajillas determinará el tipo de ciclo requeridopara lavar los platos y lavará más eficazmentecada vez. El consumo de agua varía deaproximadamente 5,5 a 10,8 galones. La duracióndel ciclo es de aproximadamente 99 y 162 minutos.

SELECCIONES DE OPCIONESDE ENERGIA

'Sanitize'Para esterilizar sus platos y vasos, seleccione laopción 'SANITIZE'. 'SANITIZE' el touchpad darávuelta blanco. Esta opción aumenta la temperaturadel agua en el enjuague final a 155°F (68°C) ymantiene tal temperatura durante 7 minutos.SANITIZE esta disponible en ciclos Auto, Cookwarey Normal. Solamente estos ciclos de esterilizaciónhan sido diseñados para cumplir los requerimientosde la NSF.

La duración del ciclo se prolongará hasta que sealcance la temperatura apropiada del agua. Ellavado continúa durante el período decalentamiento del agua. Para mejores resultados,la temperatura del agua de admisión debe ser porlo menos de 120°F (49°C).

Si la opción de la SANITIZE fue seleccionada. “SA”será exhibido en el extremo el ciclo. “SA” noexhibirá en el extremo del ciclo si los requisitos delNSF par el sanitization no se alcanzan. El criteriode exterilización no se cumplirá si el ciclo seinterrumpe, si ocurre una falla de energía o si latemperatura del agua es interior a 120°F (49°C).

Para apagar la opción de la SANITIZE, la prensaSANITIZE una segunda vez. SANITIZE el touchpaddará vuelta al azul.

SELECCIONES DEFUNCIONAMIENTO

'Delay Time'La opción 'DELAY TIME' (Comienzo Diferido) lepermite diferir automáticamente la puesta enmarcha del lavavajillas de 1 hora a 24 horas.

Oprima la tecla 'DELAY TIME' hasta que el tiempodiferido deseado aparezca en el indicador visualpresionar START/CANCEL para activar. Seiluminará una luz indicando las horas de comienzodel lavado diferido y permanecerá encendida hastaque comience el ciclo.

Para cancelar la opción 'DELAY TIME' y comenzarel ciclo antes de que acabe el período diferido,oprima la tecla 'START/CANCEL'.

Child LockPara evitar que los niños accidentalmente elcambio del ciclo del lavaplatos o enciendan ellavaplatos, trabar los controles del lavaplatospresionando y lanzando el touchpad AIR DRY por 3segundos. Todos los botones excepto el AIR DRYestarán apagados y la exhibición indicará el “Loc”y ningunas nuevas selecciones uenden ser hechashasta que se lance la cerradura. Para abrir loscontroles, presionar el touchpad AIR DRY por 3segundos, la unidad exhibirá el ciclo pasadofuncionó.

SA Cuando SANITIZE se haseleccionado la opciónexhibida, lavaplatos haalcanzado SANITIZEtermperatura en laterminación del ciclo de lacolada. El SA seguiráexhibido por 10 segundos.

'Start/Cancel'Para comenzar un ciclo, oprima una vez la tecla'START/CANCEL' y cierre la puerta.

Para cancelar un ciclo en curso, abra la puerta yoprima una vez la tecla 'START/CANCEL'. Cierre lapuerta nuevamente y el lavavajillas se desaguará yapagará.

Indicaciones del ErrorEn ciertas situaciones que sean críticas a lafunción de la máquina y a la operación segura, elcontrol cerrará e indicara un codigo de error ‘Er’. Enunidades sin una exhibición, todas las luces deindicador desellarán. (Ver Codigos De Error, página46.)

PREPARACION DE LOSPLATOS

Raspe los pedazos grandes de alimento, huesos,huesos de fruta, picadientes, etc. El sistema delavado retirará el resto de las partículas de comida.Raspe con cuidado el alimento quemado con unutensilio que no raye o coloque el plato a remojarantes de lavarlo (Ver Figure 1). Vacíe los líquidos delos vasos y tazas.

Los alimentos que contienen aceite vegetal y/oaditivos químicos tales como mostaza, mayonesa,vinagre, jugo de limón o productos a base detomate pueden causar descoloración del aceroinoxidable y de los plásticos si se dejan sin lavardurante un período de tiempo prolongado. Amenos que el lavavajillas vaya a ser puesto afuncionar inmediatamente, es mejor enjuagar losplatos para quitar previamente tales suciedades.

• Acomode las canastillas de modo que losartículos grandes no interfieran con laapertura del distribuidor de detergente.

• Verifique las recomendaciones del fabricanteantes de lavar los artículos sin indicaciones.

• Si el lavavajillas desagua hacia un trituradorde alimentos, asegúrese de que eltriturador esté completamente vacío antesde poner en marcha el lavavajillas.

CARGA DE LA CANASTILLASUPERIOR

Lacanastilla superior ha sido diseñada paraacomodar con facilidad una variedad de artículosincluyendo tazas, vasos, copas, platos pequeños,tazones, etc.

• Los vasos deben colocarse en la canastillasuperior. Se pueden dañar si se colocan enla canastilla inferior.

• Coloque los artículos con los extremosabiertos dirigidos hacia abajo para una mejorlimpieza y desagüe.

• Puede ocurrir daño si los artículos delicadosquedan tocándose unos con otros durante elfuncionamiento del lavavajillas.

• Los cuchillos y utensilios de mango largopueden ser colocados en la cestilla parautensilios en la canastilla superior.

Cesta para cuchillos

La cesta para cuchillos se usa con la cesta paracubiertos con el fin de colocar cuchillos pequeñospara cortar filetes de carne.

La bandeja para versa

La bandeja para versa se puede usar en la rejillasuperior para colocar cuchillos o cualquier otroutensilio de tamaño grande.

Las características en el modelo de sulavavajillas pueden ser diferentes a lasilustraciones de este manual.

• Para obtener mejores resultados, coloque lostazones, cacerolas y sartenes con lasuperrficie sucia hacia abajo o hacia elcentro. Incline ligeramente para un mejordesagüe.

• Asegúrese de que los artículos altos nobloqueen la rotación del brazo rociadorintermedio.

• Asegúrese de que los mangos de los sartenesno sobresalgan a través de la parte inferiorde la canastilla y bloqueen la rotación delbrazo rociador inferior.

Soportes Abatibles

Los soportes abatibles en la canastilla inferiorfacilitan la carga de aquellos artículos grandes odifíciles de colocar.Los soportes pueden serdejados levantados para uso normal o plegadospara mayor flexibilidad de la carga.

Coloque los soportes hacia abajo para facilitar lacarga de ollas y sartenes grandes.

AJUSTE DE LA ALTURA DELA CANASTILLA

La altura de la rejilla superior se puede ajustarfácilmente, a fin de que puedan colocarse vasosaltos en cualquiera de las rejillas. La altura sepuede ajustar con o sin objetos de la vajilla en lasrejillas.

Para colocar vasos altos en la rejilla inferior, eleve laaltura de la rejilla de la forma siguiente:Para elevarla rejilla a la posición intermedia o superior,solamente tiene que levantar la rejilla. La palancase acciona con un resorte para encajar en laposición intermedia o superior. Para bajar la rejilla ala posición intermedia o inferior,solamente tiene quepresionar la rejilla. Al liberar la palanca la rejillapodrá encajar en la posición intermedia.

La posición superior permite una altura adicionalpara colocar objetos de la vajilla en la rejilla inferior.

CARGA DE LA CESTILLA DELA CUCHILLERIA

Cargue la cestilla de la cuchillería cuando estécolocada en la canastilla inferior o sáquela haciaafuera para cargarla sobre la mesada.

• Coloque los artículos pequeños como lastapas de las mamaderas, tapas de frascos,sujetadores de elotes, etc. en una de lassecciones con tapa. Cierre la tapa paramantener los artículos pequeños en su lugar.

• Asegúrese de que nada sobresalga a travésde la parte inferior de la cestilla o de lacanastilla inferior que bloquee el brazorociador inferior.

• No mezcle artículos de plata y de aceroinoxidable a fin de evitar que se dañe elacabado de la plata.

ATENCIONPARA EVITAR SUFRIR UNACORTADURA: Cargue los artículosafilados (cuchillos, broquetas, etc.) conlas puntas hacia abajo. El incumplimientode esta advertencia puede ocasionar unalesión.

Cuando las tapas estén hacia arriba, mezcle losartículos no afilados en cada sección de la cestillacon algunos dirigidos hacia arriba y algunos haciaabajo para evitar que se aniden unos contra otros.El agua rociada no puede llegar a los artículos queestán anidados.

AGREGANDO UN PLATO

Para agregar o quitar artículos despuésde que ha comenzado el ciclo delavado:

1 Abra ligeramente la puerta y espere unospocos segundos hasta que se detenga ellavado antes de abrirla completamente.

2 Agregue el artículo olvidado.3 Cierre firmemente la puerta con seguro y el

ciclo se reanudará automáticamente.

ATENCIONPARA EVITAR SUFRIR UNAQUEMADURA: Abra ligeramente la puertay espere hasta que los brazos rociadoresy la acción de lavado se detenga. Puedesalpicar agua caliente hacia afuera dellavavajillas. El incumplimiento de estaadvertencia puede ocasionar una lesión.

LLENADO DELDISTRIBUIDOR DEDETERGENTE

El distribuidor de detergente tiene doscompartimientos tapados. Llene uno para cargaspequeñas. Llene ambos para cargas más grandes.Cierre la tapa y agregue detergente en la parteindentada de la tapa para un lavado preliminar. Eldetergente en la sección de lavado preliminar de latapa cae hacia el lavavajillas cuando se cierra lapuerta. Los compartimientos tapados se abrenautomáticamente para distribuir el detergente.

• Use solamente detergente para lavavajillasautomáticos. Otro detergente causaríademasiada espuma.

• Cuando use tabletas de detergente paralavavajillas automáticos, coloque una tabletaen el compartimiento de lavado principal yciérrelo.

• Agregue el detergente justo antes decomenzar el ciclo.

• Guarde el detergente en un lugar fresco yseco. Los detergentes húmedos oendurecidos no se disolverán en formaapropiada.

CANTIDAD DE DETERGENTENECESARIA

La cantidad de detergente que se debe usardepende de la dureza del agua. La dureza delagua se mide en granos por galón (gpg). El "aguadura" contiene grandes cantidades de mineralesásperos en forma granulada, más de 10 a11 granos por galón (gpg) lo cual puede afectar lacalidad del agua.

Si usa muy poco detergente puede resultar en unalimpieza deficiente y en la formación de unapelícula o manchas debido al agua dura. Si usademasiado detergente en agua blanda se puedecausar la formación de "fisuras superficiales"permanentes. (Ver Fisuras Superficiales, página42.)

Su compañía de agua local, la compañía deablandamiento de agua o el agente de su distritopueden informarle sobre la dureza del agua en suárea.

ATENCIONEl uso de detergentes industriales puededañar el del lavavajillas, lo que causaríadaños a la unidad y a la propiedad que lorodea. Sólo use detergentes para lavavajillasautomáticos para el hogar.

GUIA DE USO DEL DETERGENTE

Como se muestra en la última columna de esta tabla, se recomienda un ablandador de agua para mejorarla calidad del agua y el rendimiento del lavado cuando se usa agua muy dura.

Otras sugerencias:

• Trate de agregar más detergente al comienzo de la porción del lavado principal del ciclo.

• Como regla general, use una cucharadita por cada grano superior a 12. Saque el seguro de lapuerta, abra lentamente y agregue detergente en la parte inferior de la tina.

• Cierre la puerta con seguro y el lavavajillas continuará con el ciclo.

AGENTE DE ENJUAGUE

El agente de enjuague mejora enormemente elsecado y reduce las manchas y la capa delgadadejada por el agua. Ayuda a que el agua seextienda sobre los platos en vez de que formegotitas que se adhieren y dejan manchas.

El distribuidor de agente de enjuague, ubicadojunto al compartimiento del detergente, distribuyeautomáticamente una cantidad medida de agentede enjuague durante el último enjuague. Si existe elproblema de manchas y secado deficiente,aumente la cantidad de agente de enjuaguedistribuida girando el control y colocándolo en unnúmero más alto. El control se encuentra debajode la tapa del distribuidor.

El indicador se obscurece cuando está lleno yqueda transparente cuando se debe llenar.

En la aclaracion la ayunda es baja, se despliegaLOW RINSE al final del ciclo, indicando que estiempo de llenar el distribuidor.

Para agregar agente de enjuaguelíquido:

1 Gire a la izquierda 1/4 de vuelta la tapa deldistribuidor y levántela.

2 Agregue el agente de enjuague hasta que ellíquido toque el MAX nivel de llenadoindicado. No llene demasiado pues sepuede causar demasiada espuma.

3 Vuelva a colocar la tapa.

4 Limpie cualquier derrame con un pañohúmedo.

El distribuidor tiene capacidad suficiente para 35 a140 lavados, dependiendo del ajuste en que seacolocado.

38 Factores que Afectan el Rendimiento

PRESION DEL AGUA

La tubería del agua caliente hacia el lavavajillasdebe proporcionar una presión de agua entre 20 y90 libras por pulgada cuadrada (lbs./pulg.2).

Puede ocurrir presión baja del agua cuando laducha o la lavadora de ropa están enfuncionamiento. Espere a que se reduzca el usodel agua antes de poner en marcha el lavavajillas.

TEMPERATURA DEL AGUA

Se necesita agua caliente para un mejor lavado dela vajilla y mejorar el secado. La temperatura delagua que entra al lavavajillas debe ser por lomenos de 120°F (49°C) para lograr resultadossatisfactorios.

Verificación de la temperatura del aguaque entra al lavavajillas:

1 Abra la llave del agua caliente que esté máscerca al lavavajillas durante varios minutospara hacer salir el agua fría de las tuberías.

2 Coloque un termómetro de carne o reposteríaen el chorro de agua para verificar latemperatura.

3 Si la temperatura es inferior a 120°F (49°C),pida a una persona calificada que eleve elajuste del termostato del calentador de agua.

Cuidado del depósito/filtro de vidrio

El lavavajillas está equipado con un modernosistema de lavado. Para maximizar el rendimientodel sistema de lavado, es posible que haya quelavar periódicamente el depósito/filtro de vidrio y eldepósito/filtro de partículas grandes de alimentos.

Cuidado de la Válvula Rompevacío

Si se instaló una válvula rompevacío en sulavavajillas empotrado, verifique para asegurarsede que esté limpia de modo que el lavavajillaspueda desaguar en forma apropiada. La válvularompevacío generalmente se instala en el fregaderode la mesada y puede ser inspeccionada retirandola tapa. Esto no es parte de su lavavajillas y noestá cubierto por la garantía.

Cuidado y Limpieza

ATENCIONLas temperaturas de congelación puedencausar ruptura de las tuberías del agua.Asegúrese de que todas las tuberías desuministro del agua y las tuberías decirculación dentro del lavavajillas esténprotegidas. De lo contrario se puedenocasionar daños materiales.

PREPARACION PARA ELINVIERNO

Si el lavavajillas se deja en un lugar sin calefaccióndebe ser protegido contra congelamiento. Solicite aun técnico calificado que haga lo siguiente:

Desconexión del Servicio:1 Desconecte la energía eléctrica hacia el

lavavajillas en la fuente de suministro, ya searetirando los fusibles o disparando eldisyuntor.

2 Cierre el suministro del agua.3 Coloque un recipiente debajo de la válvula de

admisión de agua. Desconecte la tubería deagua de la válvula de admisión y desagüehacia el recipiente.

4 Desconecte la tubería de desagüe de labomba y escurra el agua en el recipiente.

Para restaurar el servicio:1 Vuelva a conectar el agua, el desagüe y el

suministro de energía eléctrica.2 Abra la llave del agua y conecte el

suministro de energía eléctrica.3 Llene ambos dispensadores de detergente y

ejecute un ciclo de lavado 'COOKWARE'.

QUEDAN MANCHASDE ALIMENTOSEN LOS PLATOS

• Verifique la temperatura del agua deadmisión. (Ver Como usar el lavavajillas,página 27.) Debe ser de por lo menos120°F (49°C). (Ver Factores que Afectan elRendimiento, página 39.)

• Seleccione otro ciclo para un lavado másprolongado.

• Consulte las secciones sobre carga de lascanastillas para una carga correcta – eviteque los artículos se aniden.

• La presión del agua en el hogar puede serdemasiado baja – debe ser 20 a 90 libraspor pulgada cuadrada (lbs./pulg.2).

• Verifique la dureza del agua. Para aguaextremadamente dura, puede sernecesario instalar un suavizador de agua.(Ver Guía de Uso del Detergente, página39.)

• Use detergente fresco.

• Asegúrese de que los artículos no esténbloqueando ninguno de los brazosrociadores o impidiendo su rotación.

LOS PLATOS NO SE SECAN

• Asegúrese de que el distribuidor de agentede enjuague esté lleno.

• Aumente la cantidad de agente de enjuague(Ver Agente de Enjuague, página 38).

• Verifique la temperatura del agua deadmisión. Asegúrese de que esté por lomenos a 120°F (49°C).

• Verifique la carga correcta del lavavajillas,evite anidar los artículos.

• Puede que los artículos de plástico necesitenser secados con una toalla. Se junta másagua en los artículos de plástico alcompletarse el ciclo pues ellos no secalientan tanto como el vidrio o los artículosde metal.

• Las tazas con fondo cóncavo pueden reteneragua.

IMPORTANTEAntes de hacer una llamada deservicio, revise primero esta lista. Lepuede ahorrar tiempo y gastos. Estalista incluye las experiencias máscomunes que no son el resultado dedefectos de materiales o fabricaciónen su lavavajillas.

FISURAS SUPERFICIALES

• Si se usa demasiado detergente en agua suave oablandada se produce esta película que nopuede ser quitada.

• Ajuste la cantidad de detergente en base a ladureza del agua. (Ver la Guía de Uso deDetergente, página 37.)

• Baje la temperatura del agua.

EXHIBICION NO EN MODO DEFUNCIONAMIENTO

• Mantener el ICONO DETERMINADO por 5segundos para conseguir la unidad para reajustaral modo de funcionamiento normal.

VAJILLA DAÑADA

• Cargue con cuidado y no sobrecargue ellavavajillas. (Ver Preparación y Carga de laVajilla, páginas 32-35.)

• Coloque los artículos delicados en lacanastilla superior.

• Coloque los vasos contra los soportes y nosobre los soportes.

• Coloque los artículos en forma segura y aefecto de que no se suelten cuando semueven las canastillas al deslizarla haciaadentro o hacia afuera. Mueva las canastillashacia adentro y hacia afuera lentamente.

• Asegúrese de que los vasos y las copasaltas no toquen la parte superior de la tinacuando la canastilla es empujada haciaadentro.

• Se recomienda lavar la loza antigua fina y elcristal a mano.

CUCHILLERIA OARTICULOS DE VIDRIOMANCHADOS U OPACOS

• Verifique la dureza del agua. Para aguaextremadamente dura, puede ser necesarioinstalar un suavizador de agua. (Ver la Guíade Uso del Detergente, página 37.)

• La temperatura del agua puede serdemasiado baja. Evite temperaturasextremadamente bajas o altas. (Ver Factoresque Afectan el Rendimiento, página 39.)

• Evite cargar demasiado el lavavajillas ocargarlo de manera incorrecta.(Ver Preparación y Carga de la Vajilla, páginas32-35.)

• Use detergente fresco. El detergente antiguono es eficaz.

• Asegúrese de que el distribuidor de agentede enjuague esté lleno.
