NOTE VERBALE
The Mission of the United States of America to the European Union presents its compliments
to the Protocol Service of the European Commission and wishes to advise the Commission that the
President of the United States desires to appoint Mr. Anthony Luzzatto Gardner as Head of the
Mission of the United States to the European Union with the rank and status of Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
There is attached a curriculum vitae of Mr. Gardner. Agrément is hereby requested to his
appointment as chief of the Mission with rank and status described above.
The Mission of the United States of America to the European Union takes this opportunity to
renew to the Protocol Service of the Commission the assurances of its highest consideration.
