A Day In The Sun

The Slovenian photographer of the year is an award organized by Emzin and this year was my 4th year

of entering this very elusive contest.

My 2011 entry – A Day In The Sun – was in my opinion technically solid and I was certain that I would

do well. But as with every other effort of the past, I didn’t even make it into the finals.

Next year, OK?

So, what was my entry all about?

I’m not even going to try to explain. Let’s just say that I had a lot of fun and for 6 very long hours I had

to keep my legs crossed before finally making a bee-line for the WC. Tina, Apsara and Matevž certainly

got plenty of sun!

It has been suggested to me that the last image may not really belong in the set, but my reasoning was

that it linked well with the very first image, showing the same girl and there is the suggestion that the

man in both shots are the same.

Technical details:

D300, Nikor 18-55mm II. (Believe me, this lens is better than what most “experts” think)

All images were shot using Nikon’s Standard Camera Profile (JPG Fine L) and were processed with

Adobe Lightroom 3 using a number of LR3 presets; printed 30x45 (cm) on matt paper
