Empresaytrabajo.coop(our main publication that is published every two months)
-It is a newspaper format publication, very dynamic, with a lot of short stories and a longer articles. It has a bunch of pictures, colors, and an interview with someone normally “famous” at the back cover.
-We give a lot of value to the content but also to the design. The main idea was to bring to the cooperatives movement people that know nothing about cooperatives.
How it helps us• It is an advertising service for our cooperatives (as we tell their
stories). It is a good tool to prompt “inter-cooperation”.
• It is a communication service for our cooperatives (as we tell them about training, seminars, subsidies, contests, financing, etc).
• It is an advertising and lobbing tool for our organization.
• It communicates good practices every two months to all the other organizations.
• We create a great store of information for Coceta that is always used to make other documents as the Yearbook.
• It helped us to have a good pictures database.
How it helps us…• It helped us to have a great people database (journalists, politicians,
cooperatives, work offices, universities, etc.).
• The Dossier (that now is published as a collectable supplement) helped as not only to meet the information about things that are happening at the same time at the whole country, but it also gives us ideas for good articles that can be at the main national newspapers).
• As we interview all kind off “sensitive” famous people (actors, singers, politicians…) for the back cover, we knew them and they sometimes get involved also in other things that help Coceta to spread the cooperative ideas, and the organization.
How it helps us…
• As it is in news-paper (low quality), it is very economic to print, and less expensive to distribute.
• As it is a “magazine”, that everyone can receive for free at home, it is published as “recommended” at some other magazines, as Le Monde Diplomatique Spain.
How we do it• At the beginning we give the people from the organizations that do not know
anything about journalism some lessons and an explanation on how to look for news, how to present them, how to make pictures to publish…).
• We make an agenda with the deadlines two months before.
• We discuss and coordinate the contents (so we don’t have the same content in two pages).
• They tells us how they want to have the page (at least they have to give us five articles, small and large, and two pictures… as we follow an “armony”). They include how many characters, pictures, boxes… and we send it to a specialized newspaper designer.
How we do it…
• They give us the texts and pictures and we fit it in the Quark (the autonomic journalists fit their articles, as we give them the page).
• We give them their pages back for errors.
• They send us their distribution list, and we distribute to those personal and enterprises addresses, plus politicians and journalists. We also distribute it in packages that go to the universities, employment offices, etc. In total, we print about 30.000.

• Every two months we set up the whole newspaper in this website, some more information and the RSS to Coops Europe and the ICA webpage. We also situate some videos make by our organization or some other interesting videos, to make the webpage more agile.
• We create an internal system so everyone in our organization can put information whenever they want.
How it helps us…• -It is an excellent searcher of coop information.
• -It is an excellent method to people to know more about cooperatives (we have around 300 different people looking at our website every day from all over the world –a lot from Latin-America-.
• -Everybody can download the PDF version of the newspaper and also a lot of documents that we talk about at the newspaper and more.
• -We have about 20 more people who subscribe to receive the newspaper every issue.

• We distribute them by Picasa or Flickr (16 organizations and members ask us to have them).
