Eligibility: Admission to B.Tech. Programs is open to a student who passed / appeared Intermediate / Higher Secondary (10+2) from any approved Board with minimum 50% marks in PCM/ PCB.

Eligibility: Second Year / Third Semester (Lateral Entry)

• Admission of Diploma Holders: A student who has acquired a diploma in Engineering through a minimum of three years of institutional study, after 10+(Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination) will be considered to be academically equivalent to a student who has passed the first year of the four year Engineering degree program for which the qualifying examination is of the 12+ level. For being eligible to seek lateral entry to an Engineering Degree program at the second year/ third semester level, a candidate must have passed the diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch with a minimum of 60 percent marks in the aggregate.

• Admission of B.Sc. Graduates: For being eligible to seek lateral entry to an Engineering Degree program at second year/ third semester level, a candidate must have passed the Degree in Science (B.Sc.), with Mathematics as a subject and with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

• Admission of Migration Candidates: The University Equivalence Committee shall examine the courses studied by a candidate in the 1st year of B.Tech./BE program. Eligibility:

A candidate seeking registration for the Ph.D. must possess the following qualifications: Engineering, Management, Pharmacy & other

Professional Courses: (a) Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the appropriate field of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/

Management/ Architecture of a University or its equivalent. OR (b) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 75% marks in

aggregate in relevant field of Engineering / Technology / Architecture of a University or its equivalent, with at least five years of experience

in Public Sector Undertaking / Research and Development Organizations / Private Industries / Service Sectors / Educational Institutions /

any other State and Central Government Organizations.

(c) M.Phil. degree of a University, with first division for exemption from pre- Ph.D. course. OR (d) Master’s degree or its equivalent, with

Notwithstanding anything contained in the above mentioned rules (a) to (d), the eligibility criteria/ guidelines prescribed and/or issued by

UGC from time to time shall be applicable for registration to all Ph.D. Program(s) of the University. The University shall encourage inter-

disciplinary research activity. Sponsored Candidates : An employee of a Government Department/ Government Undertaking, a

Research/ Development Organization, Public Sector Undertaking, an Educational Institution, a private Industry services with a minimum

relevant working experience of three years may be considered for admission as a sponsored (full-time/ part-time) research scholar.

Sponsored applicants will be eligible for admission provided they are treated by their employers as on duty.


Through Entrance test conducted by Shobhit University, followed by personal interview. Candidates who have qualified in GATE/NET/

SLET/ UGC/ CSIR (JRF) examination will be exempted from the University entrance test, however they will have to appear for personal
