The project Opening Doors began in January 2011 and is being carried out to-gether with five partner organizations in the Czech Republic, Greece, Romania, Slovenia and the UK.

The goal of the project is to create awa-reness on the various facets of violence and to empower immigrant women from different ethnical backgrounds to take preventive steps.

The project activities include Peer Lea-der training, Multiplier workshops, self defence training, local network meetings and international partner meetings.

The conference aims to present the re-sults and outcomes of the work that has been carried out in 6 countries. Interna-tional experts will speak on topics con-cerning aggression and violence. Peer Leaders will talk about their experiences and a panel discussion with Austrian po-liticians, experts and stakeholders will be held.
