Punctuality
A reminder that all students are required to be in school by 8.25am. Once the student gates are closed you will need to come in through reception. The late gate will be operated until 8.40am, after this time you will need to sign in at reception.
Students arriving after 8.25am without a valid reason for being late will be issued with a break time detention. If you are late for a second time in the same week a lunchtime detention will be issued. A third day of lateness will now result in an Isolation placement for persistent lateness.

AttendanceAt Baysgarth, we would like all of our students to aim for 100% attendance. Our minimum expectation for attendance is 96%. It only takes eight days’ absence in an academic year, from September through to July, for a student’s absence to fall to 96%.
Students can attend school with minor ailments such as toothache, headache, stomach ache, period pains, cold or sore throat. Medicine can be taken before school. Please give school a try if you are feeling under the weather, we can contact home if you become too ill to remain in school.
Where possible medical appointments should be arranged for out of school hours. If you do have a medical appointment during school hours, proof of the appointment should be handed in to Student Support.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist pupils with raising as much
funds as possible. They have decided the proceeds of the event will go to
Macmillan Cancer Support as this is a worthy cause and they feel it is not as
supported as Cancer Research.
A brief article and a link to the page was published on the school's Facebook
and app and is on the school website:
https://baysgarthschool.co.uk/news/come-dine-with-us
Please show your support to students by sharing the post on your own social
media accounts, telling your family to do the same, donating on the link above,
getting people to donate raffle prizes. The kids will be working so hard to make
this a success-lets show other schools how great Baysgarth School is please!
