Zeta Beta Tau fraternity members from Emory University and the University of Florida have beensuspended after group of disabled military veterans accused the members of spitting on them andstealing their flags last weekend in Panama City Beach, according to a report from Gainesville.com.

However, Emory said it investigated the incident and found no evidence linking its students.

Emory's full statement:

Emory University was appalled to learn of acts of disrespect and harassment that were directed atattendees of the Warrior Beach Retreat in Florida this past weekend.

investigation. To date, no evidence has been found to implicate Emory students in these reportedincidents. If any members of our community are identified as being responsible, they will be heldaccountable for their actions by the university.

Emory University thanks veterans for the significant contributions they have made to our country,and for exhibiting the values that we hold with great respect within our university community.

The fraternity found some of its members were involved, but did not say if the students are fromEmory or UF.
