I  live  in  Portland,  Maine  with  my  husband  –  best  friend  –  I  live  in  Portland,  Maine  with  my  husband  –  best  friend  –  

second  shooter  Matt  and  our  cat,  Dinah.  We  have  adventures  

whenever  we  can,  hang  out  in  our  garden,  and  snuggle  on  

couches  with  books  —  and  take  photos.  We  are  not  big  fans  of  

ballrooms,  tiaras  or  stretch  hummer  limos  –  we  love  small  

weddings  and  big  personalities,  unique  events  with  lots  of  

character.  We  love  woodsy  weddings,  flower  crowns  and  big  old  

barns  –  natural  light,  big  windows  and  industrial  spaces.  We  barns  –  natural  light,  big  windows  and  industrial  spaces.  We  

love  to  travel  –  and  do  so  often  -­  so  wherever  your  fabulous  

event  may  be,  whether  on  the  top  of  a  mountain,  in  your  

parents  backyard  or  on  a  rooftop  somewhere  –  we  would  love  to  

hear  about  it.

I  have  always  known  that  I  wanted  a  big  yellow  house,  apple  

trees  in  the  yard  and  to  make  pictures  for  a  living…  while  I  

am  still  working  on  the  big  house  and  the  apple  trees  –  making  

pictures  is  most  certainly  what  I  do  and  for  that  I  am  

eternally  grateful.

When  I  was  15  or  so  I  found  my  grandmother’s  1945  medium  When  I  was  15  or  so  I  found  my  grandmother’s  1945  medium  

format  film  camera  deep  in  a  closet  in  my  parents  house.  To  my  

delight  I  found  that  there  was  exposed  film  still  in  it.  My  

grandmother  had  recently  passed  away  and  here  were  photos  that  

she  had  taken  and  never  even  seen  herself.  I  nervously  

developed  the  film  to  find  photos  of  my  father  and  his  

brothers  some  40  years  ago,  half  ghosted  and  colors  faded,  

forever  children  playing  on  front  steps  of  their  house.  My  forever  children  playing  on  front  steps  of  their  house.  My  

work  has  always  been  rooted  in  a  love  of  memory  and  a  desire  

to  create  something  more  intimate  than  documentation.

Our  pictures  are  our  personal  history,  our  connection  to  what  

was,  where  we  have  been  &  to  the  people  we  love  most.
