Question (ii) Para taken fromSherlyn / 1H

Focus on using the right expressionLastly, the relationship between Emily and Richard is baddue to Emily not wanting to agree that she did somethingwrong for tying down Richard. This is shown by Richard, Ihave been a good mother to you [ ] why did you bothhate me then? I didnt do anything wrong. This impliesthat Emily is not reflective of her own actions of being acontrolling and domineering mother, and continues toinsist on doing nothing wrong to Richard. This leads tothe eventual dysfunctional relationship between Emilyand Richard. The death of Richard can be a testimony forthe dysfunctional relationship between Emily andRichard.
