The month of  August will be Thematic Sundays. Each Thematic worship service will be at 9:30am. The attire for the month of August is casual, but please no torn jeans, shorts or tank tops.

 An important six week workshop on bereavement sponsored by the Virginia HospitalCenter is being offered. The Interchurch Health Initiative organization that MBC is apart of received this information to encourage members who may need this vitalrestorative service to take advantage of this workshop. This is a free limited group

 bereavement workshop available to the public. Michael Knapik is a licensedprofessional counselor and chaplain at VHC. The attached flyer has additional details.

************The 2013 Bible study schedule is as follows

and begins at 7pm

Each 1st Wednesday  will be Corporate Prayer and Praise. Everyone is

encouraged and invited to attend.

Every 2nd Wednesday of the month will be Pastor’s Bible Study which is open to everyone.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month will be Men’s and Women’s Bible Study.

Each 4th Wednesday  will be Young Adult Bible Study.

The 5th Wednesday of each month will be Leadership Night. All leaders of MBC  will meet with Pastor Hamlin.

The Communications Ministry is in need of additional members to assist in carryingout its ministry work. Below is a chart of duties/projects that are assigned to the CMand the current member who leads the project. Please review the list to see where theLord will lead you to assist. The CMmeets bi-weekly on Saturday mornings and also rely heavily on e-mail communica-tion. We anxiously await to hear from you.

 Attached is a flyer for our Saturday Food Distribution. Please note that to be signedup, individuals need to come in during business hours and meet with us. They must

 bring proof of residency (ID, lease, etc.) and last pay stub/ proof of income (i.e. SocialSecurity award letter). They are able to come once as a walk in, if they would like tocheck it out before signing up.

If they already receive food from AFAC at a different location, they are able to switchto our site. It takes a few days though, so they should come in and request the switchearly in the week, if they plan to pick up food here on a Saturday.

Fall Class Registration Times Change!

Resident online registration begins August 14 for fall classes. In an effort to better serve the growing numberof Arlingtonians who enjoy our classes, the Department of Parks and Recreation is moving up and dividingclass registration times. On August 14, resident online registration opens only for Gymnastics classes at 7:00a.m. and for ALL OTHER classes resident online registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

4v4 Adult Flag Football Tournament
