Heavy rain has been affecting several areas of the country over the past three days, causing floods. According to local media, as of 17 March at 7.00 UTC, 12 people have died in the region of Lima due to floods and landslides. They also reported that the death toll has reached 62 people since December 2016 and that over 12 000 houses have been damaged.
