General Drill Procedure1. Students and staff exit building in an orderly manner.

2. While exiting the building, staff shall be observant for any unusual situations or safety hazards.

3. Everyone walksto their assigned area in a calm, orderly and quiet manner.

4. Students line up in their assigned area along the fence but DO NOT TOUCH the fence in case of lightning or downed power lines.

5. Students and staff remain as quiet as possible in order to hear and respond to directions.

6. Students will re-enter the building when the principal and/or safety team leader gives the verbal clearance.

7. Students and staff re-enter the building in the same manner as they exited.

Example : Fire Drill ProcedureStudents

1) When you hear a fire alarm, remain calm. Follow your teacher's instructions.

2) Line up and exit the building quietly, calmly and orderly through the closest exit door. Leave everything/your belonging in your classroom.

3) Do not run.

4) Proceed/walk to the designated area (assembly area).

5) Stay with your teacher and your classmates.

6) Wait for instructions from your teacher before returning to thr buidling.

7) Return to your classroom queitly when instructed to do so.

Teacher

1) Remain calm.

2) Bring your student attendance book.

3) Before leaving the classroom, instruct students to:

*Stop all classroom activities immediately.

*Form a single line and tell students to know who is in front and behind you all the times.

4)Check that the classroom is empty before you leave.

5)Lead your students out of the classroom and the building through the nearest exit door to your assembly area.

6)Check to see that none is left in the classroom.

7) Take attendance.

8) Report anyone who is missing at any time during the evacuation.

9) Wait for instructions before allowing students to return to classroom.

10) Take attendance once you are back to the class.
