What’s new in 2009 ?

• A PhD seminar is organized on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009. PhD students conducting research in EMC of ICs are invited to present their work.

• A tutorial by distinguished experts in the field of EMC of ICs has been organized on Tuesday November 17th, 2009, morning.

• The proceedings are « lite », all PDF are in the USB key

About the PhD Seminar

• First international PhD seminar on EMC of ICs (French editions

in 2007 and 2008)

• Schedule: November 17, 3:00 – 8:00 PM

• Location: room Seria

• Content: 15-minute overview presentations (including Q&A), no

regular scientific papers

• Time slot for live discussion

• 12 students (Brazil: 1, Germany: 2, France: 9)

• Advisors and other students are kindly welcome

About the Invited Speakers

D. Pommerenke is Tenured Professor at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO

His research interests include electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electrostatic discharge (ESD) measurement techniques, electromagnetic interference analysis methods, numerical methods, and instrumentation for EMC and high voltage.

He has authored or co-authored more than 100 papers, and holds ten patents.

Dr. Pommerenke is the U.S. representative of the ESD Standard Setting Group within the IEC TC77b.

About the Invited Speakers

• D. Griot is Chairman for Freescale Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 1998, he was appointed as a corporate vice president of Motorola, and then Freescale when it became an independent company. After 25 years of distinguished service, Denis Griot is retiring from his daily responsibilities as Senior Vice President. He has been instrumental in the creation of the Crolles2 Alliance, one of the largest R&D alliance in the industry. He holds numerous semiconductor patents. For more than a decade, Denis has been the face of Freescale within the European automotive community.
