especially w/ high change rate *

– Time to scan entire database is not a concern

– NFS security or mount point failure is a concern

– RMAN managed DR is a requirement

– Oracle 10g and 11g environments

Consider RMAN via NFS/dNFS with Data Domain when:– Incremental merge is preferred

– Network link failure is rare or job restart is acceptable

the remote storage on NAS or Data Domain (using OS).• Oracle configuration files tell Oracle

database to manage NFS read/write via Oracle kernel rather than operating system.• dNFS aggregates NIC cards with no
