Sincerely yours, Doug Grandt As you have probably surmised, I have been in Washington DC for the past week enjoying the cherry blossoms as the buds popped open — it has been like watching popcorn pop — however ..v..e..r..y.. .. ..s..l..o..w..l..y.. Yesterday, the petals began to fall like snow and cover the ground — surreal, mottled and blurry. Thursday and Friday were also surreal in another way because I met with my two Senators and staff of two of my state's three Representatives — none of whom represent my personal beliefs on most issues. But, I conducted myself in a positive, friendly and exploratory manner because I want to find out from them what they believe are pragmatic climate and energy solutions which are most plausible in spite of our personal differences in philosophy as well as issues within our stalemated Congress — the same approach I would take in a meeting with you — because the urgency of starting effective solutions outweighs what divides us — for the sake of all humanity. Please meet me for coffee to discuss required and realistic options for your success and legacy.
