“Peace begins with

a smile”

My dear friends, During the advent season we wear the color purple to signify repent-ance. It is also the color of the stole the priest wears during confession. Repentance or the Greek word that repentance comes from, metanoia, means to think new thoughts. What thoughts run through your head the most often about yourself? Is your head full of thoughts that you are fat, worthless, that no one will ever love you, that you are a failure, that you will never be enough; that you won't ever beat your addiction, that you won't beat your cancer, that you are a terrible mother or father. Are you constantly thinking of your shortcomings and the rough edges of your humanity and do you allow them to torment you? If so, Repent. Turn your thoughts around for repentance has to do with turning your thoughts around. Stop listening to the hasatan (accuser) in your head and start listening to God and His voice preached by voices who aid God to shut up the accuser playing those negative voices in your head. God is not waiting for you to become more successful or more spiritual to love you; He loves you for you with your rough edges and if the God of the universe accepts and loves you as you are why shouldn't you? Quiero agradecer a todos los participantes que vinieron a tomarse su foto familiar en las pasa-das fechas. Asi es como me gusta ver a todos muy unidos todos con sus familias. Las fotos ya estan listas para todos los que se tomaron su foto el pasado mes de Septiembre y Octubre. Las familias que se acabaron de tomar su foto en el mes de Noviembre les estaremos avisando en los siguientes boletines o les hablaremos personalmente cuando este lista. La foto familiar la pueden recojer en la oficina de martes a jueves de 10 am a 2pm. Cualquier pregunta favor de llamar a la oficina al 707-994-6618 Estoy muy ansioso de poder ver el nuevo direc-torio de la iglesia con las fotos de sus familias para poder rezar por cada uno de ustedes por su nombre. Una nota del padre Adam Mis queridos amigos, Durante la temporada de adviento usamos el color púrpura para indicar el arrepentimiento. También es el color de la estola que lleva el sacerdote durante la confesión. Arrepentimiento o la palabra griega de la que proviene el arrepentimiento, metanoia, que significa pensar nuevos pen-samientos. ¿Qué pensamientos pasan por tu cabeza con más frecuencia sobre ti mismo? ¿Está tu cabeza llena de pensamientos que eres gordo, sin valor, que nadie te amará jamás, que eres un fra-caso, que nunca serás suficiente? que nunca vencerás tu adicción, que no vencerás a tu cáncer, que eres una madre o un padre terrible. ¿Está pensando constantemente en sus defectos y en los ásperos límites de su humanidad y les permite atormentarlos? Si es así, arrepiéntete. Convierte tus pensam-ientos en torno al arrepentimiento que tiene que ver con cambiar tus pensamientos. Deja de escu-char el hasatan (acusador) en tu cabeza y comienza a escuchar a Dios y su voz predicada por voces que ayudan a Dios a callar al acusador tocando esas voces negativas en tu cabeza. Dios no está es-perando que seas más exitoso o más espiritual para amarte; Él te ama por ti con tus aristas y si el Di-os del universo te acepta y te ama como eres, ¿por qué no deberías arrepentirte?. A causa de las siguientes fechas festivas, las clases de catecismo seran canceladas desde el 17 de diciembre y seran retomadas comenzando el 7 de enero. Sin olvidar que los niños ocupan seguir asistendo a misas cada do-mingo y los dias de obligacion del 25 de diciem-bre y primero de enero. Cualquier pregunta fa-vor de llamar a la oficina.

La oficina de nuestra iglesia estara cerrada desde el martes 24 de Diciembre hasta el martes 8 de Enero.
