Professional Email

o Important, time sensitive information comes through your email. You must be able to access and act upon messages in a timely fashion.

o General consensus on residents and email: They don’t answer, and it’s not clear they read anything. Please don’t be this person

The fluff/spam/junk emails

o Unfortunately as a UNM employee, you are included on a ton of less than relevant email.

• I suggest against using groupwise for anything other than doctory things. You don’t need the extra spam.

o Professional societies: ACP, AAIM, etc.

o Physician recruiters (just so many…)

General Noteso The info will be on the wiki

o Just pay attention to the concepts and the gist of how.

o Groupwise can be accessed from a desktop client, web interface, or from your phones native client.o Focus will be on the desktop client as the options are more robust
