The King (which is how he advertises himself) was on hand in downtown Victoria on June 12th, 2019

There are few other names like “Elvis,” which brings to mind almost everything there is to know about him.

After all, we’ve also got King Tut, King James, King Arthur, Martin Luther King Jr., King Henry VIII, Nat King Cole, and King Kong. There are other well known “Kings,” but there is only one Elvis.

This 1972 Chevy Chevelle SS is owned by Barry and Rose Ullmann of Jordan, MN. The bright lemon yellow car stands out in the lineup of classic cars in downtown Victoria. This model had a higher volume 4-year run than any other muscle car.

Dan Lubbers of Minneapolis is shown with his 1959 baby blue Ford Skyliner. This is a mid 20th century convertible car with a retractable hardtop produced by Ford Motor Company in the U.S. for the model years 1957 to 1959.

Judith M. Anderson painted classic cars in the midst of all the activity in downtown Victoria.

There was also live music in June at Winchester and Rye, the newest hotspot in downtown Victoria.

The name of this duo is “Traveled Ground” — presenting American Roots Music. Clark Machtemes is the one on the left.

Who traveled the farthest to attend Victoria Classic Car Night on Wednesday, June 26th? Most likely it was Fred and Mary Sue Plocher (left) of Marana, Arizona. They’re photographed here with Nan Emmer and Al Orsen.

As I got down the hill to take some pictures of Elvis, a couple of parents were also taking pictures, and Elvis says, “How about a picture with the kids?” A few seconds earlier or a few seconds later, and I would not have gotten this photo!
