Elvira Wallis is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of the Internet of Things (IoT) at SAP. She has global responsibility for the complete lifecycle of SAP’s investment into IoT. She is responsible for product management as well as engineering of SAP’s entire IoT portfolio to increase adoption and thought leadership. This includes the flagship IoT cloud solution, SAP Internet of Things, a solution that helps customers interpret and analyse their IoT data, make more informed real-time decisions, achieve better business outcomes, and even create new business models. This also includes SAP Edge Services, which enables customers to extend their business processes to the edge, close to the source of data, for immediate outcomes.

Elvira is a strong believer that a team culture that focuses on moments that matter for customers, partners, and the team are essential for business success. She has been instrumental in shaping SAP’s IoT strategy, which has been recognized by customers, partners, and analysts.

• Finalist in the Internet of Things World “IoT Leader of the Year” Awards for a second year in a row

• In 2019, one of the leading analysts commented on SAP’s IoT strategy as follows: “We have been waiting for years from SAP for a strong position on IoT. The story has now gotten so much crisper than it has been for years. If anyone is going to win big in IoT, it is going to be SAP.”

• Under Elvira’s leadership, SAP has recently published a new whitepaper “SAP Enabling Technologies for Industry 4.Now” showing how IoT and Edge enable Industry4.0, helping customers solve today’s business problems.

Recently SAP’s customers and partners Döhler, Schäfer Werke, and Westernacher joined Elvira on a radio show, having an open discussion about "Changing the Game with Industry 4.0 in the Intelligent Enterprise".

• A Forbes article featured an interview with Elvira, talking about how IoT can help businesses boost productivity and customer satisfaction: “Companies can use to IoT automate service processes, manage scheduling to make the best use of people and equipment, and speed up repairs to meet service-level agreements,” said Elvira. “This can reduce downtime and increase customer satisfaction.”

• Last but not least, Elvira is also a role model for women in tech and recently had the opportunity to represent SAP at the “Yes, We Can! Women Working in Heavy Asset Industries” event, sharing some inspirational and empowering stories during the event, being streamlined
