IntroductionThe ELSTEEL Techno Modular System is distributed by ELSTEEL South Africa in conjuction withATI Systems.

The design and assembly capability resides in the local African company. Complete assemblies can be built directly from local stock.

The ELSTEEL TM System is a patented 200mm grid modular assembly. It is extensively tested to IEC 61439-1/2. All major brands of breakers, just fits perfectly into the system.

It is the result of many years of research and development, and continuous testing at recognized test stations around the world.

The Techno Module system is modularin steps of 200 mm in all three directions.

That means that there are no limit to the possibilities and positions.

The strong framework is made from profiled 2mm electro-galvanised and powder coated steel.

It forms a 25mm grid and can be arranged in an unlimited number of ways.

It rests on a modular base frame which incorporates all facilities for dividing and transportation.

With these separation plates installed it is possible to work in one section of the panel board while the rest of the panel is live.

Special separation plates effectively prevent contamination of the whole panel board in case of an internal arc fault.

Paint PlantElsteel South Africa has its own Powdercoating facility. It consists of three batch ovens.The ELSTEEL product is stocked in Electric Orange but can be painted over in any colour.3CR12 and SS304 parts are manufactured to order.

Punching & BendingAll parts for the ELSTEEL system is available directly from stock. However, materials made from 3CR12 is manufactured in our own sheet metal shop. It consists of CNC Amada Punching & Bending Machines and associated equipment. Special mounting plates, gland plates etc. can be made to requirement.

StockSeveral Motor Control or Power Distribution Panels can be build directly from stock. This allows panels to be build on an emergency basis.

ELSTEEL Lite product line is stocked in grey RAL 7035.

All structural parts is painted black. Covers and doors are painted electric orange and internal parts are either painted white or galvanized.

Busbar HandlingELSTEEL South Africa can do power distribution boards up to 7000 A. For that purpose we have invested in the latest busbar handling machines. Cutting, punching and bending is done to highest precision. Clients supply switchgear and is mounted to specification.

This means panels can be supplied on the shortest possible notice. A complete assembly can be ready in one to two days.

Panels can be supplied on a breakdown basis.

Training and SupportELSTEEL South Africa provide training in applying the ELSTEEL design rules and how to assemble the structure in the quickest and most efficient way.

Training is also given to use the ELSTEEL Designer Software Package, at the ELSTEEL offices or at customer location.
