Love Thy Heart In observance of Valentine’s Day, I thought to include a small section on one of the most important organs in our bodies, our hearts. Once thought to control our emotions, the human heart we now know, is responsi-ble for providing life sus-taining oxygen as well as important nutrients to the other organs in our bodies. Some interesting facts about the human heart is that in a lifetime the heart can pump about one million bar-rels of blood and beats 100,000 times per day equaling approximately 2.5 billions beats in a lifetime. This Valentine’s Day re-ward your heart by going for a walk or eat-ing a bowl of whole grain oatmeal or cereal. Your heart will thank you! —Some information provided by funshun.com
