Estimator - Flat Roofing Location: EPR, Head Office, Southampton
Reporting to: Contracts Director
Hours: 40 hours, 8am-5pm Monday – Friday
Ideally this position will be secured by an experienced candidate in all the areas stated, however we may be prepared to train the right person who does not meet all the criteria but has 2-3 years’ experience of estimating within any construction related discipline.
Duties:
You will be office based with some time onsite providing quotes for customers and working alongside the Contracts team.
- producing accurate and competitive estimates for flat roofing projects including single ply, bitumen, and structural waterproofing
- attending pre-contract and design meetings- working closely with the Contracts Team you will be required to present handover meetings
and to complete bulk order procurement.- produce monthly valuations and invoices
Requirements
- Experience in tendering for medium to large projects, either to main contractor, developer or direct to client
- competency in Microsoft packages & estimating software (Swiftest)- competent in Maths- ability to read both hard copy and electronic drawings- hold a valid CSCS card- SMSTS certification would be an advantage- excellent interpersonal and organisational skills- professional manner
- driving licence (essential)

Reporting to: Senior Estimator
Hours: 40 hours, 8am-5pm Monday – Friday
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be office based with time onsite, providing quotes for customers and working alongside the Contracts team.
- Producing accurate and competitive estimates for pitched roofing projects including tile, slate, shingle and lead.
- Attending pre-contract and design meetings.- Working closely with the Contracts Team you will be required to present handover meetings
and to complete bulk order procurement.- Produce monthly valuations and invoices.
Requirements:
- Experience in tendering for medium to large projects, either to main contractor, developer or direct to client.

Internal Sales Person
Location: Winchester
Reporting to: Branch Manager
Hours: 42.5 hours per week 8.00am-5.00pm Monday – Friday (flexibility will be required with start/finish times to cover opening hours), plus some Saturday mornings on a rota
Based in the sales office, you will be part of a dedicated internal sales team committed to the branch sales efforts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sales of a wide range of tools & fixings, mostly over the telephone - Ordering materials and negotiating prices- Responding to a wide range of queries from customers - Proactively looking to increase branch sales- Provide cover for the trade counter
Requirements:
- Knowledge of tools would be a distinct advantage but training could be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent telephone manner- High standards of customer service- Proactive and sales driven attitude- Competency in MS Windows packages- Ability to work as part of a team- Experience in a customer facing role- Interest in power tools
Internal Sales Person – new position!
Location: Ringwood
Reporting to: Trading Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week 8.00am-5.00pm Monday – Friday (flexibility will be required with start/finish times to cover opening hours), plus some Saturday mornings on a rota
Based in the branch, you will be part of a dedicated internal sales team committed to the branch sales efforts. This new position is created to grow sales further at this branch.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• You will be responsible for all things sales related, working with the other internal staff, to help create a proactive and sales orientated culture.
• Calling customers who haven’t dealt with Elliotts recently. • You will provide support to the external sales representative, raising quotes & orders,
providing back-up support while they are out on the road.• Making calls to chase up quotes.• Helping in all areas of the branch operation as necessary.
Requirements:
• You will need to be confident, and sales focused, be adept at decision making, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in sales is essential• Proactive and enthusiastic attitude• Sound knowledge of building materials, both heavy and light side• Working knowledge of MS Office• Ideally - worked in a builders’ merchant previously.
Internal Sales Person Location: Tadley
Reporting to: Branch Manager
Hours: 44.5 hours per week, 7.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday (42.5 hours) and 26 Saturday mornings per year, 8.00am-12.00pm
Based in the branch, you will be part of a dedicated internal sales team committed to the branch sales efforts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sales of a wide range of building materials, mostly over the telephone - Ordering materials and negotiating prices- Working closely with the Sales Representative to increase branch sales- Sourcing non-standard products- Raising quotes and orders and dealing with all associated paperwork- Responding to a wide range of queries from customers (both trade and retail) and suppliers- Provide cover for the trade counter
