We congratulate you on your choosing the Elka Panther 300 Electronic Portable Organ VST/AU Plug-in for its outstanding musical capabilities and arresting appearance.

The ELKA Panther, also known as the Capri, is a classic Italian combo organ of the 60s. The Panther produces bold, rich organ sounds and has a wide range of tonal variations. The Panthers 16', 8', 4' Stops and Mixture voice levels are adjustable. Each voice spans over three octaves, with bass extension into grey keys and separate volume control for bass octave(s). Tone Decay adds percussive effect to Mixture voices. The Panther has powerful vibrato with speed and intensity control.

In 1960s the Elka Panther 300 was brought to you by years of experience in the production of musical instruments and by the most advanced techniques in the field of electronics. This organ is now available to you again in a form of VST/AU computer software for Windows and Mac platforms. Elka Panther 300 VST/AU plug-in is brought to you by Generalmusic by Soundion and the plug-in has been created by Martinic, acknowledged masters of modeling technology.

Before installing the Elka Panther 300 VST/AU instrument, we advise you to read the following instructions very carefully.

Original Features: The Elka Panther Organ is fully transistorized with semiconductors. One of its most important sound capabilities is that of the Mixture, which is a combination of the three highest footages. It should be used only in conjunction with one or more of the main footages. Apart from the preset tone selection tabs, the Elka Panther is provided with independent volume controls for each footage, thus giving it a larger tonal range than any organ of its class.

(1) TONE DECAY TAB - Percussion effect, when used with one of the mixture tabs, produces the forceful bite in attack essential for emphasized beat. This tab decays the brightness of the sound mixture after the initial attack while the basic organ tone is still sustained.

(2) MIXTURE TABS - Each tab automatically adds another tone to the basic tone being played, creating an overtone effect. These combinations are made up of the three highest footages and serve to create a rich quality so important to the music of the 60s and which continues to this day.

(3) ROTARY HARMONIC CONTROLS - Offer you an infinite choice of sound variations as you can individually set the volume controls for the 16', 8' and 4' footages to produce the desired mixture.

(4) PRE-SELECTED BASS VOLUME CONTROL - Enables you to swell the high end without being drowned out by the bass section. Enables you to maintain a good balance between the bass tones and the main solo keyboard at any volume.

(5) BASS EXTENTION TAB - Extends octave of bass notes (black section) to two full octaves by incorporating the grey (treble) keyboard. Allows you to super-impose the bass tones over two full octaves. The overlapping bass and treble effect gives you a yet more complex sound variation.

(6) BLACK KEYBOARD - Octave of bass notes.

(7) GREY KEYBOARD - Octave of treble notes which when activated by bass extension tab (tab no 5) extends bass section two full octaves.

Implementation of the Elka Panther 300 VST/AU audio plug-in is based on modeling technology (no samples inside). The plug-in includes all the musical features of the original Elka Panther Electronic Portable Organ and it is fully polyphonic. The Elka Panther 300 VST/AU audio plug-in has the following additional and extended features.

Parameters of different features can be adjusted in two screens: Keys and Settings. All the advanced settings of the parameters are located in the Settings screen. Values of the parameters can be adjusted with rotary knobs, faders and buttons.

EXTRA FEATURES OF THE VST/AU PLUG-IN

PARAMETER SETTINGS

This VST/AU plug-in includes a separate Elka Panther 100 engine. The Elka Panther 100 is younger relative of the Elka Panther 300 and it expands the sounds of the plug-in more expressiveness and emotional impact. The Elka Panther 100 features are as follows.

The LEM Echo Music is analog tape delay and it has been digitally modeled to enchange original organ sound with reverberation and echo. It has two input channels with separate volume control and works like a 2-channel mixer. Both channels have also bass and treble tone controls. The recording volume of both effect unit channels can be adjusted separately. In the Mixer/Tape Delay section channels can be handled as stereo (with pan feature) or two mono channels. The Mixer/Tape Delay section can be turned On or Off.

The Lem Echo Music has one record head, three play heads and one erase head. Reverb effect can be controlled with echo level and repeat knobs. To obtain sound reverberation at least one of the EFFECTS three buttons must be selected. Many other sound effects can be obtained by combining those three EFFECTS buttons. EFFECTS buttons Sound repetition intervals are 80 ms, 210 ms and 330 ms. Total ”tape length” is 9,5 s. Wow and flutter characteristics are audible in this authentic tape delay modeling.

RARE LEM ECHO MUSIC TAPE DELAY EFFECT

As an additional features the Elka Panther 300 VST/AU plug-in has several modelled soundprocessing cababilities available in the Settings screen of the plug-in.

Reverb is modeled classic spring reverb and the reverb mix can be adjusted with the Reverb knob.

Tremolo effect can be turned On or Off. Amount of Speed and Depth of the tremolo effect can be individually adjusted with the Speed and Depth knobs.

Modeled Vintage Tube Combo Guitar Amp can be set On or Off. The adjustable features of the amp are tone controls and drive. Tone control consist of bass, middle and treble sound EQ level knobs. With the drive knob ammount of overdrive/distortion can be adjusted.

When the knob of the Cab is turned all the way left cabinet simulation is OFF. Turning the knob to right you can select cabinet models of the following peaker cabinets: 1) single internal loudspeaker, 2) 2 x 12” A, 3) 2 x 12” B, 4) 4 x 10” and 5) 4 x 12”. (*) Cabinet impulse responses by Studio Nord Bremen and Dr Bonkers Soundlab.

As an advanced feature of the Elka Panther VST/AU plug-in values of the Vibrato Speed and Depth can be adjusted with theVibrato Speed and Depth knobs.

In the Elka Panther VST/AU plug-in originally fixed tone decay time has been made adjustable with Decay knob as an advansed feature.

The Elka Panthers original keyboard was not velocity-sensitive. This feature has been added to this VST/AU plug-in and the Attack and Release can be adjusted in Key Contacts section with the Attack and Release knobs. Also the amount of key click can be adjusted with the Click knob.

Transistor-based electronics of the 60s inherently produced a certain amount of noise and buzz. Certain noise belongs to the sound of these vintage instruments. To achieve this original sound and authentic vibe, that noise has been modeled to this plug-in and the level of that noise can be adjusted with the Noise knob.

Internally in the original Elka Panther it was possible to adjust the tuning of the notes within the octave. This same feature is available in the VST/AU plug-in with the knobs in the Tuning section.

Volume pedal level can be adjusted with Swell knob in the Settings screen.

Master volume level can be adjusted with the Master knob in the Settings screen.

All the settings can be saved and loaded in the Manual section in your DAW.

In the Elka Panther VST/AU there is an extended 88 MIDI note range. Also the treble and bass sections of the keyboard use separate MIDI channel. MIDI channels can be selected in the MIDI screen. All settings are MIDI learnable from your DAW.

In case of MIDI emergancy you can use Panic ! button.

In the Elka Panther VST/AU there is 32 preset slots with the pre-selected sound settings.

The Elka Panther VST/AU is available as VST 2.4 or AU (Audio Units) effect plug-in, which means it needs to run inside VST or AU hosting software, e.g. Ableton Live, Cubase, GarageBand, Logic, Pro, REAPER, Studio One, etc.

Although the Elka Panther VST/AU plug-in should be able to run at any sample rate the host provides, a rate of at least 44.1 kHz is recommended. The Elka Panther VST/AU is designed to run on Windows 7 or newer, or Mac OS X 10.7 or newer platforms and Intel x86/x64 CPU. The Elka Panther VST/AU plug-in is delivered as a Windows and a macOS installer and it has 32 and 64 bit host/OS support.

The Elka Panther VST/AU plug-in is protected by FastSpring generated licence key file. No dongle, or online activation needed.

To install Elka Panther VST/AU plug-in on Windows download the Windows 32/64-bit VST installer, and save it on your computer (e.g. in your Downloads folder). Navigate to this folder, locate the installer and double-click on it, and then click on the Next button to start the installation process.

Carefully read the license, and then click on the I Agree button to continue. Next select which versions of the plug-in you want to install (it is recommended you install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions, just to be sure), optionally select License Key if you have purchased a license, and click on the Next button.

Optionally change the install location, and again click on the Next button. Then select your VST2 32-bit and/or 64-bit plugin folder, and optionally select your license key file (if you have purchased a license), confirming each selection by clicking on the Next button.

Now wait for the installation to complete (this should take only a few seconds), click on the Close button, and you are ready.

To install Elka Panther VST/AU on Mac OS X download the Mac OS X 32/64-bit VST/AU installer disk image (DMG), and save it on your computer (e.g. in your Downloads folder).

If you have purchased a license, then you should copy your license key file to the same folder in which you have saved the installer disk image (DMG), so it can be installed along with the plug-in(s). Navigate to the folder in which you have saved the installer, locate the installer disk image (DMG) and double-click on it, and then double-click on the Elka Panther Installer.pkg icon. Click on the Continue button to confirm that the installation package will run a program, and then click on Continue (in the bottom right corner of the installation window) to start the installation process. Carefully read the license, click on the Continue

button, and then click on Agree. Next select which versions of the plug-in you want to install (it is recommended that you install both the VST2 and AU versions, just to be sure), optionally select License Key if you have purchased a license,

and click on the Continue button. Optionally change the install location, and then click on the Install button.

Launch your host, and create an audio track or load a project to which you want to add Elka Panther VST/AU plug-in. Please refer to the documentation of your hosting software on how to do this.

End-User License Agreement (EULA) of ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Soundion Oy Ltd.

This EULA agreement governs your acquisition and use of our ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software ("Software") directly from Soundion Oy Ltd or indirectly through a Soundion Oy Ltd authorized reseller or distributor (a "Reseller").

Please read this EULA agreement carefully before completing the installation process and using the ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software. It provides a license to use the ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software and contains warranty information and liability disclaimers.

If you register for a free trial of the ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software, this EULA agreement will also govern that trial. By clicking "accept" or installing and/or using the ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software, you are confirming your acceptance of the Software and agreeing to become bound by the terms of this EULA agreement.

If you are entering into this EULA agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity and its affiliates to these terms and conditions. If you do not have such authority or if you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this EULA agreement, do not install or use the Software, and you must not accept this EULA agreement.

This EULA agreement shall apply only to the Software supplied by Soundion Oy Ltd herewith regardless of whether other software is referred to or described herein. The terms also apply to any Soundion Oy Ltd updates, supplements, Internet-based services, and support services for the Software, unless other terms accompany those items on delivery. If so, those terms apply.

License Grant

Soundion Oy Ltd hereby grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software on your devices in accordance with the terms of this EULA agreement.

END-USER LICENCE AGREEMENT (EULA)

You are permitted to load the ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software (for example a PC, laptop, mobile or tablet) under your control. You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements of the ELKA Panther VST/AU instrument software.

You are not permitted to:

- Edit, alter, modify, adapt, translate or otherwise change the whole or any part of the Software nor permit the whole or any part of the Software to be combined with or become incorporated in any other software, nor decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software or attempt to do any such things- Reproduce, copy, distribute, resell or otherwise use the Software for any commercial purpose- Allow any third party to use the Software on behalf of or for the benefit of any third party- Use the Software in any way which breaches any applicable local, national or international law- use the Software for any purpose that Soundion Oy Ltd considers is a breach of this EULA agreement

Intellectual Property and Ownership

Soundion Oy Ltd shall at all times retain ownership of the Software as originally downloaded by you and all subsequent downloads of the Software by you. The Software (and the copyright, and other intellectual property rights of whatever nature in the Software, including any modifications made thereto) are and shall remain the property of Soundion Oy Ltd.

Soundion Oy Ltd reserves the right to grant licences to use the Software to third parties.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The Software and services performed by Soundion Oy Ltd are provided “As Is” with all faults and without warranty of any kind.

Soundion Oy Ltd does not warrant that any defects in the Software will be corrected or that the Software will be compatible or work with any third party software, hardware or third party services.

Limitation of Liability

In no event Soundion Oy Ltd, or its affiliates, partners, suppliers, licensors or anyone else involved in the creation, production, or delivery of the Software shall be liable for any special, direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages whatsoever, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to access or use of the Software (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, loss of data and the like) whether or not the

damages were foreseeable and whether or not Soundion Oy Ltd was advised of the possibility of such damages. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Soundion Oy Ltd's aggregate liability to you (whether under contract, tort, statute or otherwise) shall not exceed the amount of license fees actually paid by you for the Software. The foregoing limitations will apply even if the above stated remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of or limitation or exclusion of certain type of warranties, damages, or liabilities, so the above exclusion and limitations may not apply to you, but in such a case the exclusions and limitations set forth in this section shall be applied to the greatest extent enfrorceable under applicable law.

Termination

This EULA agreement is effective from the date you first use the Software and shall continue until terminated. You may terminate it at any time upon written notice to Soundion Oy Ltd.

It will also terminate immediately if you fail to comply with any term of this EULA agreement. Upon such termination, the licenses granted by this EULA agreement will immediately terminate and you agree to stop all access and use of the Software. The provisions that by their nature continue and survive will survive any termination of this EULA agreement.

Governing Law

This EULA agreement, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with this EULA agreement, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland.
