About ELIJASince 2002, The ELIJA Foundation has provided the community with educational opportunities that focus on improving the quality of programs and services available to children with Autism. In 2006, The ELIJA School opened its doors to extend the mission of the Foundation and start helping children with Autism.
ELIJA FARM CSAIn 2016 ELIJA launched its first capital campaign aimed at supporting a bold new mission: to create a sustainable future for our transitioning adults with autism. In December 2016, we entered Phase I of this campaign by purchasing 6-acres of a beautiful local farm in South Huntington — The ELIJA Farm. Our campaign continues as ELIJA has established a community supported agriculture (CSA) program, where students and adults with autism will play a daily role in the productivity of the farm.
Phase II of the campaign will include acquisition of a second 4-acre parcel, construction of a state-of-the-art greenhouse and conversion of the property’s barn into a classroom and workspace. With the success of phases I and II, ELIJA’s long term plan is to develop a creative residential option for individuals with autism to live in a safe and supported community. Your participation and support at our 11th Annual Golf Outing will go a long way in turning our vision into a reality.

The ELIJA Farm, our sustainable, non-profit farm in South Huntington, demonstrates our commitment to transitioning adults with autism. ELIJA Farm’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is dedicated to enriching the health and wellness of our community through dynamic learning opportunities to its diverse membership.
Young adults on the autism spectrum contribute to the productivity of the farm and CSA, building transferable skills that will lead to success vocationally, socially, and in their overall quality of life. We soon plan to construct a state-of-the-art greenhouse and convert the barn into a classroom and workspace so that these individuals can learn and thrive in a safe and supported community. Your support will go a long way in turning our vision into a reality.
